This one is arc-based and can be enabled with the Select Bone tool. - When working with bezier handles in the timeline's graph mode, it can be hard to distinguish between X, Y, and Z keyframes. They're now color-coded to match the curves. (Pro Only) - The smart bone dial command now sets up its keyframes with linear interpolation. (Pro Only) - Support for Poser files with Simple Bones single skin skinning method. (Pro Only) - Poser interactive display in the timeline is now more responsive, switching quality levels based on polygon count and timing. (Pro Only) - Added a new script in the Scripts->Draw menu to automatically generate gear shapes. (Pro Only) - Scatter brush now handles animated sample objects. -- Point position, curvature, and line width may be animated. -- The animation is automatically cycled. - Added visible paths for bones with animated translation (similar to layer paths). - Some enhancements to the Curvature tool: There is now a field for numerical input, and negative curvature values are allowed. - New shading mode for 3D-extruded vector layers. (Pro Only) - Renamed Anime 10 characters (both startup files and library content) to match the user-voted character names. -- Key Bug Fixes -- - Inadvertent animation of bone targets can lead to unexpected behavior. - Bone dynamics in a particle system are slow and broken. - Hidden point keyframes may still be active in copy/paste operations. - Exporting was not including assets in the "Shared Resources" folder. This affected the separate process exporter, Batch Export, and command-line rendering. - Warping problem with the thought balloon. - Crash in preview animation on Windows for certain video cards. - Curvature shortcut keys modify the wrong frame when sequencer is offset. - When creating a smart bone dial, the min/max angles are reversed from the final bone constraints. (Pro Only) - Vector layers converted to 3D could render some frames of a movie with a lower resolution mesh. (Pro Only) - Cycling markers should show repeats of the indicators in the timeline. - Copy/pasting doc markers on a time-offset layer results in shifting of the pasted markers. - When creating smart bone dials, added an option (on by default) to create separate actions for the positive and negative rotation directions. This preserves the "neutral" position of the bone. (Pro Only) - When overlapping two keyframes, the document in the canvas doesn't update right away. - Stepped keyframes on a switch layer should never interpolate. - When alt-right-clicking a layer in the canvas, it isn't always made visible in the Layers panel. - View direction no longer resets when switching documents. - Tracing image is now properly restored when switching documents. - The Translate Points and Add Point tools should have an option to automatically create strokes in addition to fills. - With the Freehand tool, welding curves end-to-end give you multiple overlapping strokes. - Older files have unnamed bones, which leads to problems with copy/pasting animations. Solution: When opening a file, make sure unnamed bones get some kind of default name. - Some library files are missing images. - Character Wizard "Jump" action leaves some bones locked at the end of its animation. - When editing an image in an external application it doesn't update properly in Anime Studio. - When alt-right-clicking a layer in the canvas, it isn't always made visible in the Layers panel. - Interval is ignored on cycle keyframe if there are no keyframes after. - Save As... now starts at parent folder of current document if previously saved. - Copying keyframes should not include keys for hidden bones. - Dragging two keys on top of each other in the timeline can make them both disappear. - When working with smart bones, keyframes fromt the smart bone action can sometimes get copied back to frame 0. (Pro Only) - Fixed some numerical limits in some scripts. Also fixed some problems with the way the Credits script layed out text. (Pro Only) - Addressed another issue with status bar on bottom of main window when resizing. - Scaling problem when caching vector layers as images. This only happens when inside an action. - Reloading scripts with no open document crashes application. - Noise keyframe amplitude doesn't accept floating point values. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Fixes/Improvements in Anime Studio® Debut 10.1 Update ----------------------------------------------------------------- -- Localized Builds -- - The application now runs in English, German or Spanish. -- Key Bug Fixes -- - Fixed over 200 bugs -- Enhancements -- - The new Crop Tool allows you to crop an image layer to a specified area. - Layers can be copied and pasted between documents with the Edit > Copy Layer and Edit > Paste Layer commands. - Switch layers are displayed in the timeline. Mouse over to see which layer is active at that keyframe. - Condense or expand the Timeline Options bar with the View > Show Timeline Options command, or by using a new Timeline Options widget and accompanying dialog. - Display or hide the Play and View controls in the timeline with the View > Show Play & View Controls command. - The Keyframe Settings dialog helps you manage settings for selected keyframes. - The Animation > Consolidate Layer Channels command allows you to expand or collapse layer channels in the timeline or with the Consolidate timeline channels option in the Preferences dialog. - The Paste Relative command allows you to paste selected keyframes that continue animation from the state at which the keyframes were pasted. - New documents are now assigned a name of Untitled-X, where X is a number that is one higher than the number of opened documents. - A chevron in the Documents tab allows you to display the names of other opened documents if there are more than can be displayed in the Documents tab. - A new preference allows you to automatically close the current document and switch to a gathered project file after gathering. - GPU acceleration can be enabled or disabled in Anime Studio Debut and Pro through an option in the Preferences dialog. - A preference option allows you to enable or disable whether analytics information (hardware information and feature usage) is sent to Smith Micro. - The Draw > Freeze Visible Points command allows you to freeze all points currently visible in the project. - New commands in the Bone menu allow you to freeze selected bones, or all bones that are currently visible in your scene. - The Keyboard Shortcuts editor has been enhanced to display the number of times duplicate shortcuts are used. You can hover over the indicator to display the commands that use that shortcut. ----------------------------------------------------------------- New Features in Anime Studio® Debut 10 ----------------------------------------------------------------- New Bone Constraints The new bone constraints feature will include rigging options that will help set up characters that are more complex and powerful. Windows® Internet Explorer® 9 or later is required for the embedded Content Library in Anime Studio 10. To ensure the optimal experience and compatibility for the Content Library, the installer will disable “Local Machine Lockdown” for the Anime Studio application. This will not affect other applications outside of Anime Studio. Details about “Local Machine Lockdown” can be found at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms537641(VS.85).aspx. You can download the latest version of Internet Explorer by going to: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/worldwide-sites.aspx *QuickTime® (Macintosh & Windows) You must have QuickTime installed in order to playback MP3 audio files within Anime Studio, and for importing and exporting Quicktime .mov files as well as viewing included videos. The Quicktime Installer for Windows is included on the disk in the 'Third Party Installers' folder (physical purchases only). We recommend that Mac users update to the latest version of Quicktime. You can download the latest version of Quicktime by going to: http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ * Adobe® Reader® (Macintosh & Windows) You will need to have Adobe Reader installed to view the included PDF manuals. We have included an installer for Adobe Reader in the ‘Third Party Installers’ folder on the disk (physical purchases only). You can also download the latest version of Adobe Reader by going to: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ * You only need the Adobe® Reader® on the Mac to view the .swf files embedded in the PDF tutorials; otherwise you can use "Preview" in the Mac. ------------------------------------------ Known Issues ------------------------------------------ Anime Studio 10 : - Content Library: The library in Anime Studio requires Windows® Internet Explorer® 9 or newer (Windows only) to run. - Content Library: Images in the library will appear clipped in some instances, to remedy this problem, we recommend that you install Windows® Internet Explorer® 9 or newer. - Audio and Flash export: When exporting to Flash, the audio you embed in the Flash file must already be in MP3 format. You must have QuickTime installed in order to playback MP3 audio files within Anime Studio. - You can only have one audio track if you're planning to export a Flash movie. Because Anime Studio can't encode MP3 files, it also can't mix down multiple audio streams into a single MP3 file. If you're targeting Flash, we recommend that you mix down multiple tracks and encode as MP3 prior to import into Anime Studio. - On Mac, exports using the "QuickTime (PNG-AAC)" output format always ignore the alpha channel with or without a soundtrack. For movie exports that require an alpha channel, use the QuickTime "ProRes 4444" presets or the "Animation" or "PNG" codec in the "QuickTime Movie" output format. - On Windows, presets like MP4 (H.264-AAC) require hardware acceleration for the video encoder. If you are noticing issues when exporting or previewing animation, make sure you are using the latest drivers for your video card. If that doesn’t work, try unchecking “Enable export/import hardware acceleration” in the application preferences. ------------------------------------------ System Requirements ------------------------------------------ Windows: *Windows ® 7, 8, 8.1 or newer *1.3 GHz Pentium 4 or newer, Athlon 64 or newer *2 GB RAM recommended *700 MB free hard drive space minimum *OpenGL enabled GPU recommended *1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) *DVD-ROM drive (physical version only) *Internet connection for product activation recommended *Windows® Internet Explorer® 9 or newer Macintosh: *Macintosh ® OS X 10.8, 10.9 or newer *64-bit OS required *1.3 GHz Intel Processor or newer *2 GB RAM recommended *700 MB free hard drive space minimum *1024x768 display (1280x800 recommended) *DVD-ROM drive (physical version only) *Internet connection for product activation recommended ------------------------------------------ Technical Support ------------------------------------------ You must be registered to receive technical support.
