This camera has been specifically designed to render Poser animated scenes in Carrara. The scenes may have been animated in Poser or animated in Carrara after import. It will render your scenes with 2 side by side images, one for the left eye and one for the right eye. Each image encompasses 180 degrees giving the full 3d virtual reality "experience" when viewed in devices such as Google Cardboard or the many other apps available. Thank you for purchasing CARRARA VR180SBSCAM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- System requirements-Windows XP upwards ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any computer capable of running Poser 6 or newer,Carrara 5 or newer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Necessary Files-VR180SBSCAM.car ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a stand alone item, complete unto itself --------------------------------------------------------------------------- HOW TO USE. Import your Poser scene into Carrara. Now import the VR180SBSCAM file supplied. When you click on the drop down menu in the camera window you will now find VRSETUP-select this. Click on the render tab and in the render settings set a square format,ie 400x400-(this is for use while setting up your scene and not for your final render). Go back to the Assemble room.Under the View menu select "show production frame". Now use the camera controls for the VRSetup camera to frame your scene as normal. To see the actual VRcamera output,go to the render room and select VRCAM as the output.Make sure Photorealistic,Refraction,Transparency and Light through Trans are selected in the rendering tab. Change the format to a 2 to 1 ratio,ie 800x400 and click render. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FINAL RENDER OUTPUT SIZE AND FORMATS. FinalRenders need to be in a 2 to 1 format I have found that 2400x1200 pixels is a good size to work at.The left and right views will then each be 1200x1200 approx. When viewed in a vr headset, each eye's view will encompass 600x600 pixels approx-a reasonable quality. Output formats will depend on the device the video is to be viewed on.The Samsung Galaxy phones are happy with Mp4 H264 videos. Some conversion of your video may be necessary.I can recommend the AVS free video converter,it has output settings for various phones(Samsung 4,6 etc)-http://www.any-video-converter.com. NOTES. Generally, a lot of camera movement in a virtual reality scene is not a good idea for the comfort of the viewer-most scenes have a fixed point of view where the viewer can look around at the action going on.This is of course open to experimentation. If you select the VRCAM by mistake in the camera window and move it using the camera controls-it's best to delete VR180SBSCAM and re-import it.
