--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "FOUNTAIN MAKER MID HEIGHT FOUNTAIN STREAMS", by FORESTER All copyrights to this product reserved by FORESTER - May 2018 Ownership statement: All of the content in this package was created by Forester ================================================================ Included in this package: In general, this package has three small thick geysers of water formed by three closely-spaced nozzles of water, and five larger sprays or streams of fountaining water, each formed by six nozzle jets. The larger sprays of water stream upward and away from each other at slight angles. * Three low geysers of water formed by three nozzles closely spaced together. These have water and foam. * Two fountain streams of approximately the same size and shape. One of the fountains has water coming from a set of six nozzles at surface level, while the water of the other comes from a pedestal placed above the water surface. * One water fountain made by six nozzles placed closely together and shooting almost straight up. * One "star-shaped" water fountain made by six nozzles that are rotating so that the water angles in the horizontal plane. * One water fountain made by six nozzles whre the streams are angled out and away from each other. * One small simple water pedestal object that can be placed into a fountain and can serve as the base of the water sprays. Each fountain stream has separate water and foam pieces. Modern renderers, such as V-Ray, Corona and Maxwell Render typical require that one material be applied to one individual component of a model. Note: Spray5 has water but no Foam. It is made only of water. REQUIREMENTS: Any application that can import OBJ files. Installation Instructions: It is typical to "IMPORT" the selected *.obj file into your application, using the application's "Import" command. Normally, executing the "Import" function brings up a search window that allows you to navigate to the desired *.obj file. Normally, you do not need to also import the *.mtl file that corresponds to the selected *.obj file. The *.mtl file is read automatically upon import. Normally, the purpose of the *.mtl file is to tell the 3D application which materials or textures are applied to the object, and where to locate those materials or textures. Usage and Tips: These water sprays can be placed into almost any water basin or fountain. Typically one of these is used as the center fountain in a basin of water. The water basin could be round, square, rectangular, hexagonal or octagonal. The water sprays can be re-scaled to fit your fountain or basin. To aid in re-scaling, the pivot points for each foam and each water surface are centered in the object in the horizontal plane, but positioned at the bottom of the water object component in the vertical plane. This pivot point location makes it easiest to position, and then re-scale the fountain to fit your fountain structure and scene. If you are positioning one of these water plumes to fit within a metal nozzle or some other piece of fountain hardware, you will want the pivot point of the plume to be at the base of the water component, in order to make positioning easy. When re-scaling the size of a water plume, or duplicating it, it helps to have "grouped" the water and the foam components, and then re-scale or duplicate the group, rather than the individual component. You can apply a standard water or glass material for your 3D application to any of the water surfaces. You should apply a glossy white material to any of the foam objects. Some 3D rendering applications, such as Maxwell Render or V-Ray have dedicated foam materials that you can apply to the foam objects in this package.
