You should not need to add a dForce Simulation Modifier to the clothing, and the surface settings should be suitable for most poses. You should only have to add the clothing to your figure, pose it, and set up the number of frames you want to simulate. Then press the Simulate button. 2) All pieces have subdivision surfaces enabled, but they load at base resolution.
