"Panoramic Worlds: Storm Plains" Copyright 2002 Scott Cawthon by Scott Cawthon animdude@lycos.com files included: stormy plain.pz3 mist.jpg grass.jpg To install, simply drag files to the directory you wish to store them, then open with Poser. This is a full 360 degree panoramic stormy sky for Poser. It does not include props, rather it provides the stages for your props and characters by offering full range of view without consuming resources and rendering time. The backdrops are texture maps created from 3D models at high res. The ground you stand on is detailed just enough to give the illusion of really being part of its texture mapped counterpart. The world texture is mapped onto a cylinder that surrounds your characters, while still providing plenty of space to set up animations and set design. It's a great way to add atmosphere and depth to your scenes without getting bogged down in polygons and rendering time. The Poser file included is a panoramic world enclosure. The "floor" provided is the only landscape geometry that is real, with just enough detail on the edges to make it look like it truly is a part of its texture mapped background. The "world" comes with a full 360 texture map that wraps around the scene and gives the illusion of depth and atmosphere, while keeping polygons low for rendering and keeping your viewport from getting cluttered. All texture maps were made in 3D studio max. The backgrounds look 3D because they WERE 3D! The sets are ready for you to drop in your characters and props. The set is a cylinder with the background map, along with a ground object set parallel to the floor in Poser. NOTE: Though the texture maps provided are seamless, in Poser the cylinders themselves create a seam at a certain point along the rim. You may have to rotate the cylinder between shots to keep it out of view. Files needed: Poser 4 or greater
