or if you don`t want to unzip into Poser you can create them manually and place copies of your content files into them. all textures including templates are in Poser4/Runtime/textures/tema_tex this location is required and should not be altered .pp2 (props) are in Poser4/Runtime/libraries/props/tema_props this locations is not required but I recommend you to keep it. obj. files are in Poser4/Runtime/tema_products/roams/ because they are not primaryly intended for use in Poser because all the neccessary geometry is included in the .pp2 files. readme.txt , license.txt and two renders (scene1.jpg and scene2.jpg ) of the two preconstructed scenes for easy rebuilding are in Poser4/Runtime/tema_products/roams/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage Information texture maps that come with the product are already applied ( only texture maps not bumps ) . Bump maps are included in .jpg format , too but you have to set them up manually. To find the appropriate bump map select you material editor and look at the file that is already applied as texture map. Now browse for a .jpg that differs in name only by a _bum instead if a _tex prefix - -- roams_altar1_tex.jpg - roams_altar1_bum.jpg ( corresponding bump map ) - roams_altar1_textemp.jpg ( corresponding texture template ) Poser 4 users have to convert .jpg bump maps into the .bum format . You can do that by browsing the correct file in your Material Editor. You will be asked by POser if you want to convert the .jpg into .bum format. Click YES - and you have your .bum file now. I worked the bump maps to achieve a rather drastic effect in shots of the whole set. You might want to reduce bump map strength as you come closer down to 20 or even less % . Feel free to experiment to achieve best results for you. There are two different texture maps for the platforms . You can interchange them . One is applied to roams_platform the other to roams_platform2. If you don`t know how to work with texture in Material Editor consult your Poser manual for more info on using textures. Some props are mapped onto more than one image file . That means mapping data was split onto several image templates. You can´t switch those files between materials of the prop because they are not different texture versions. You certainly would get funny results then. Only prop that has two texture versions is the platform prop. roams_plat_c_tex.jpg and roams_plat_c2_tex.jpg . You can interchange them . roams_plat_c_tex.jpg is applied to roams_platform (prop) and roams_plat_c2_tex.jpg is applied to roams_platform2 . prop files do NOT need the obj files. Obj. files are intended for use in 3d applications. other than Poser. If you want to build scenes keep in mind that there are two preconstructed scenes already ready to use. You can do many more but these two with their various combinations can be clicked together in one or two minutes. For that reason props were scaled and positioned to fit into the two different scenes. There are props that can be used with only one set without changing position or scale. So how do you tell what you can use for one scene or the other. That`s easy ! You normally start with a platform. there are two platforms to start - roams_platform and roams_platform2 . Now - any prop that ends with a 1 in its name is intended for set 1 and roams_platform . Any prop that ends with 2 in it`s name is intended for use with roams_platform2 . Props with no number ( not roams_platform and roams_torchrow that should be used with roams_platform ) can be used in either set. You can also tell wich set by looking at the thumbnail of the prop . There will be the specific platform type in the image - or none ( that are the items you can use in both sets ) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- License: ------------- Read the Renderosity Marketplace Licensing in license.txt -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Copyright Information The entire contents of this product are copyright 2002 by Karsten Fink.
