It is native to the rainforests of Malesia, Papuasia and Queensland. In Queensland it occurs only in a small part of the northeast coast. It may reach in excess of 35m tall. It is known for its tall, branched and wandering buttress roots. The timber is a hardwood and is red/brown in colour. It is used as a general purpose and cabinet timber. It was once popular for boat building. The fruits are eaten by cassowaries, who swallow the entire fruit, and by metallic starlings, who extract and swallow just the seeds. There are 16 models in this set: 5x Standard. Green, fully mature and in good health. Useable in most scenes. 5x Health. Thriving, distress, unhealthy, dying, and dead. 6x Maturity. The models will appear as Props. Also present are all the material presets used in all models. This will allow you to load a different material overwriting the default. For example, you may load a "Dread Tree" model, select one of the dead foliage materials in the material editor and overwrite it with and autumn material. Please note that this is an example and this product may not include a "Dead Tree" model or "Autumn" material; the principle is the same though for any model or material.
