Genesis Cross-Generation Pose Converter Copyright 2026 KoKoS_TeBe_V_NoS Vendor: KoKoS_TeBe_V_NoS Version: 2.2.4 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ------------------- Stop worrying about which Genesis generation a pose was originally created for. Choose a pose. Choose a Genesis figure. Let Genesis Cross-Generation Pose Converter handle the generation gap. Select a pose from the Content Library, select a supported Genesis figure, and convert. The script automatically detects the source and target generations, applies the appropriate bone mappings, and adjusts supported pose transforms for the selected figure. Bring the pose and the figure - the converter takes care of the rest. Genesis Cross-Generation Pose Converter is a DAZ Studio utility for converting and reusing poses between different generations of Genesis figures. The converter supports: - Genesis 1 - Genesis 2 - Genesis 3 - Genesis 8 / Genesis 8.1 - Genesis 9 It is designed as a single cross-generation conversion tool instead of requiring a separate converter for each source and target generation. The script uses dedicated bone mappings and conversion adjustments for the supported Genesis generations. Conversions between older Genesis generations use an internal Genesis 9 mapping space so that poses can be transferred between different supported generations through one conversion system. Two conversion modes are available: 1. Content Library -> Scene Select a pose preset directly in the DAZ Studio Content Library, select the target Genesis figure in the scene, and convert the pose directly to that figure. The source pose does not need to be applied to another figure first. The script reads supported rotation and translation channels from the selected pose preset, detects the Genesis generation when possible, converts the supported channels, and applies the converted pose to the selected target figure. 2. Scene -> Scene Select two different supported Genesis figures in the scene and convert the current pose from one figure to the other. Conversion works in both directions between supported generations. Examples: Genesis 1 -> Genesis 9 Genesis 9 -> Genesis 2 Genesis 3 -> Genesis 8 Genesis 8 -> Genesis 2 Genesis 2 -> Genesis 3 Genesis 8 -> Genesis 9 and other combinations between different supported Genesis generations. Main features: - Genesis 1, 2, 3, 8, 8.1 and 9 support. - Cross-generation pose conversion in both directions. - Content Library pose preset -> Scene conversion. - Scene -> Scene conversion. - Automatic Genesis generation detection when possible. - Dedicated bone mappings for different Genesis generations. - Rotation channel conversion. - Translation channel conversion. - Handling for differences in bend and twist bone structures. - Conversion adjustments for generation-specific rig differences. - Automatic target selection support. - Progress display during conversion. - DAZ Studio Undo support. - Ctrl + Convert option to reset the target pose before conversion. - Simple single-window interface. - No additional products required. IMPORTANT: Genesis generations use different rig structures, bone orientations, proportions and joint setups. Because of these differences, some converted poses may require minor manual adjustment after conversion. Extreme poses, poses made for heavily customized characters, and poses that depend on generation-specific controls may require additional correction. The converter is intended to provide a fast and practical cross-generation starting point while preserving supported pose transforms as closely as possible. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ------------------- DAZ Studio 4.x Genesis 9 requires a DAZ Studio version that supports Genesis 9. Tested with DAZ Studio 4.24.0.3 on Windows. No additional Renderosity or DAZ products are required. INSTALLATION ------------ Install the product into a DAZ Studio Content Library that is mapped in DAZ Studio. Open Genesis Cross-Generation Pose Converter. 2. Set Source Mode to: Scene -> Scene 3. Select the first Genesis figure in the Scene or viewport. 4. Click: Select Figure 1 5. Select the second Genesis figure. 6. Click: Select Figure 2 7. Choose the required conversion direction: Convert Figure 1 >> Figure 2 or Convert Figure 1 << Figure 2 CTRL + CONVERT -------------- Hold Ctrl while pressing Convert to reset the target figure pose before the converted pose is applied. SUPPORTED POSE DATA ------------------- The converter processes supported pose transform channels, including: - X Rotate - Y Rotate - Z Rotate - X Translate - Y Translate - Z Translate Not every generation has an exact one-to-one equivalent for every bone or control. Unsupported or unavailable channels are skipped during conversion. CONTENT LIBRARY POSES --------------------- For Content Library -> Scene conversion, select one DAZ Studio pose preset in the Content Library. The selected item must be a readable DAZ pose preset. When the source generation cannot be identified reliably from the pose preset, the converter will report that the generation could not be detected automatically. IMPORTANT NOTES --------------- The source and target figures must be different Genesis generations. The converter does not convert materials, shapes, morphs, expressions, clothing or other non-pose content. The converter does not modify the original pose preset file. Converted poses can be adjusted manually after conversion and saved as new DAZ Studio pose presets using the normal DAZ Studio tools. The quality of a converted pose can vary depending on the original pose, source and target generations, figure proportions and character morphs.
