Basic Grounds was designed to function for as many types of scenes as possible, in other words, to be a generic ground that could be placed in any scene and just fit in, hence the name. The item is a collection of props and materials that allows you to create layered grounds by combining components. There are 3 types of components: - 1 - Large - 2 - Medium - 3 - Small Depending on the type of scene, you can choose a component size and then include other sizes if necessary. So you can use them as they are or in combination, it's up to you. The large component is designed to provide a base layer that can be built upon. The medium component can be used for medium shots. The small component can be used for up-close renders. The medium and small components can be layered on top of the large component and on top of each other ( the large component can also be layered on top of any component, but being quite large, it will cover the smaller ones). The components are props, you can load them by double clicking and then layer and move them in the scene as you need. At any one time, you can also apply another material on a prop of the same size, meaning the large, medium and small components each have their own materials that you can change after you placed the prop. You can also place several props of the same kind and arrange and combine them as they are designed to blend seamlessly between them and the other components. Please see https://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2916149 for help finding the correct library. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage Tips/limitations You will find the item in the following location: Props/3dexgraphics/Basic Grounds The large components are quite large, so you will mostly use 1 component of the large size, but nothing prevents you to use as many as you like. After you placed the prop, if you want to change its material, go to the materials folder and apply another material. When loading components, it's best that each prop is slightly in a different "Y" position so that it doesn't occupy the same 3d position as another prop. For example, if you load a medium prop on top of a large prop, a small prop on top of a medium or large prop, or any combination, even of the same size, go to the parameters tab and change the "Y Translate" parameter to something like 0.001 or 0.1. Each prop overlapping another one should have a slightly different "Y" position, otherwise there will be render artifacts as Daz Studio will not know which prop should occupy that position in space.
