Vertex Snap Pro Copyright 2026 KoKoS_TeBe_V_NoS Vendor: KoKoS_TeBe_V_NoS Version: 1.0.16 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION ------------------- Select two mesh objects. Select one vertex, edge, or face on each object. Choose the direction. Let Vertex Snap Pro calculate the required world-space translation. Vertex Snap Pro is an easy-to-use DAZ Studio utility for aligning two selected mesh components. It records a component on Target 1 and a component on Target 2, then moves either object so that the selected components occupy the same world position. The script uses the DAZ Studio Geometry Editor to select components and creates hidden temporary target markers for accurate alignment. The target objects remain in the scene, while the selected source object is translated to the selected destination component. The script supports: - Vertices - Edges - Faces Main features: - Simple step-by-step interface. - Selection of mesh objects from the Scene pane or viewport. - Automatic Geometry Editor activation. - Automatic switch from Target 1 component selection to Target 2 component selection. - Optional focus on the active target object. - Vertex, edge and face alignment in world space. - Move Target 1 to Target 2. - Move Target 2 to Target 1. - Only actual object movements are recorded in DAZ Studio Undo. - Clear Targets command for restarting the workflow. - Restoration of the previous viewport tool when the script closes. - No additional products required. COMPONENT SELECTION MODES ------------------------- Vertex Select exactly one vertex on each target object. Vertex Snap Pro aligns the selected vertices. Edge Select exactly one edge on each target object. The center of each selected edge is used as the alignment position. Face Select exactly one face on each target object. The center of each selected face is used as the alignment position. BASIC USE --------- 1. Open Vertex Snap Pro. 2. Select the first mesh object in the Scene pane or viewport. 3. Select the second, different mesh object. 4. Choose Vertex, Edge or Face in Selection Type. 5. After both objects are detected, the Geometry Editor and selected component mode are activated automatically. 6. Select exactly one component on Target 1. 7. Select exactly one component on Target 2. 8. Choose one of the movement commands: Move Target 1 >> Target 2 Move Target 2 << Target 1 9. Click Clear Targets to start a new alignment. 10. Click Close when finished. The script automatically advances from Target 1 to Target 2 after the first component has been captured. MOVEMENT DIRECTIONS ------------------ Move Target 1 >> Target 2 Moves Target 1 so that its selected vertex, edge center or face center matches the selected component on Target 2. Target 2 remains in place. Move Target 2 << Target 1 Moves Target 2 so that its selected vertex, edge center or face center matches the selected component on Target 1. Target 1 remains in place. The movement is calculated in world space. Existing rotation, scale, parenting and other transforms are respected as far as the current scene hierarchy allows. UNDO ---- Vertex selection, target capture and target clearing are not added to the DAZ Studio Undo history. Only the following actual movement operations are recorded: - Move Target 1 to Target 2 - Move Target 2 to Target 1 This keeps the Undo history focused on the visible scene changes made by the user. FOCUS OBJECT ------------ When Focus Object is enabled, Vertex Snap Pro focuses the active viewport on the current target object during component selection. Disable this option when the current camera framing should remain unchanged. IMPORTANT --------- Target 1 and Target 2 must be different scene objects. Each target object must contain supported mesh geometry. Edge and Face modes require facet mesh geometry. Exactly one component must be selected on each target object. If zero or multiple components are selected, the script will ask for a new selection. The selected source object cannot be moved when the destination object is inside its hierarchy. If the scene hierarchy prevents a safe translation, the script will show a warning instead of applying the movement. The script changes object translation only. It does not modify geometry, materials, morphs, poses, expressions, clothing or the selected component itself. Hidden temporary target markers are used internally and are removed when the workflow is cleared or the script is closed.
