::BlackEyes 2.0 ©2002 Blackhearted & Rio:: Greetings Friend, Thank you for choosing our work. We hope you'll be pleased with the results you can achieve with these textures and props, and enjoy working with them as much as we enjoyed working on them :) ::INSTALLATION:: To install the product, extract the Runtime folder included within this .zip into your Metacreations/Poser 4 or Poser 5 directory. If prompted, choose overwrite. ::HOW TO USE THE BLACKEYES CUSTOM EYE PROPS:: You will find the 'BlackEyes' props in your Props menu, in the 'Blackhearted' folder. These are high-resolution eyes designed to replace the standard Victoria eyeballs. They were modelled to be more anatomically accurate and therefore render more like real human eyes. The iris is actually a concave lens, just like real human eyes, and this results in dynamic highlighting and shadowing of the iris texture, as well as a more natural, oval iris shape when viewed from an angle. You can load subtle reflection maps on the Outer Eye material for a more highlighted effect. Before you load the eyes, you must hide your character's standard eyes. You can do this by either going into the hierarchy editor (Window-Hierarchy Editor) and clicking on the little eye icon beside the left and right eyes, or a more simple way is to use the 'Hide Eyes' pose located in your Poses - MAT BlackEyes folder. The Blackeyes files should now be in the 'Blackeyes' folder within your Props menu, and the eye textures and hide/show poses in the 'MAT Blackeyes' folder within your Poses menu. Simply load your character and apply the !HideEyes pose to hide the default eyes, then load the appropriate version of Blackeyes from your Props menu for the character. For example, for Vicky, first hide her eyes with the '!HideEyes' pose, then load both the Right (R) and Left (L) Blackeyes. They will automatically load in their proper place on the character's head. The eye color/style poses are in your Poses - MAT BlackEyes folder. You can change eye textures by simply clicking on one of the poses. Change them as a pair, or experiment with different combinations of textures to achieve alternative results for your Sci-fi and Horror renders. [Keep in mind that these poses will only work on the eyes if a figure is present (ie: Victoria). If you just load the eyes into an empty scene the eye MAT poses wont work and you will have to texture the eyes manually.] Use the morphs included with the eyes to further customise them. Certain morphs work well with certain textures, for example: Mecha Eyes: set the iris size morph to 1.000 to fit the texture exactly Wolven & Vampyre Eyes: adjust the slit pupil morphs to give them a more feral look Manson Eyes: dial the dilate pupil morph into the negatives to make the pupil smaller If you have any questions, or problems installing or using these items please do not hesitate to contact us. If you are happy with your purchase, please take a moment to fill out the store feedback option, and let others know how you feel. Cheers, Blackhearted Rio Below I've included some tips on Poser rendering. It should be especially useful for beginners, but seasoned Poser users may also pick up something they didnt know, so it cant hurt to read it :) It has been updated with new material, and I promise to try and add to it with every product that I release.
