THINGS TO GET STARTED: ====================== POSER 4 USERS: BUM (bump maps) to be created. The following files in your Textures/PoserStyle/Musketeer folder should be converted to BUM format: cardinal_jacket_b.jpg, cardinal_jacketsleeve_b.jpg, cardinal_tabard_b.jpg, ironmask2_b.jpg, ironmaskPants_b.jpg, jacketlace_b.jpg, louis13_boot_b.jpg, louis13_hat_b.jpg,louis13_shirt_b.jpg, louis14_pants_b.jpg and louis14_tabard_b.jpg. DELETE THE MAT & PROP FOLDER YOU DON'T USE... ====================================== Included in this ZIP File were two versions of the MAT files, one for Poser4 users, and one for Poser Pro and Poser 5 users. Delete the Folder "MAT MUSKETEER P4" or "MAT MUSKETEER PP" that you won't be using to avoid confusion. Next, delete the Prop "MUSKETEER P4" or "MUSKETEER PP" folder that you won't be using. Making a small change to make the Musketeer Hat MAT files work ============================================================== MAT files only work on character (.CR) files or when a Prop file (.PP) has been parented to a character file (.CR) When you use the hat you should remember to parent it to your character or you can easily edit it into a "SmartProp". By making the hat a SmartProp, the parenting process is done automatically. To make the small change to a SmartProp, load the "MusketeerHat.pp2" into a text editor. Find the section shown below: ... prop Mhat_1 { name Mhat_1 on bend 1 dynamicsLock 1 hidden 0 addToMenu 1 castsShadow 1 includeInDepthCue 1 parent UNIVERSE channels { xOffsetA OriginX .... Change the "parent UNIVERSE" to "smartparent head". This will not only allow the hat MAT files to work, but your hat will now stay on your characters head when you change the pose. USING THE MAT FILES =================== Load the Character file you wish to texture, for example, we'll use the the Musketeer TABARD. Now, go to the POSE section and select the "MAT MUSKETEER" Folder. Scroll down to a TABARD MAT file and apply it. The TABARD has now been textured. TIP: If the MAT does appear to apply, often the problem is that the character became unselected. A TABARD mat will not apply to the JACKET character or to the MICHAEL character. Reselect the character, and try again.
