By following the installation instructions found below, you should be rendering in no time. UV-mapping on Boots and Strappie OBJs courtesy of Andrea Caruso (Black Rain - http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez?Who=Black+Rain). ___________________ Requires: Poser version 4.0.3, Pro Pack or Poser5 for PC or Macintosh. Macintosh users should enlist the aid of two free utilities for easiest installation: Poser Maconverter (current version: 1.1.8) Poser Macinstaller (current version: 1.0.6) Both are available as free downloads from http://www.soft-rabbit.de/ ___________________ INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Simply unzip the archive to your Poser 4 directory using the "Use folder names" option in Winzip. This will create the necessary folders and subfolders and unzip the files into their appropriate locations. If you choose to perform a manual install... Locate your Poser 4 folder on your hard drive. With a "normal" poser install the poser 4 folder is usually found under c:\program files\metacreations or under c:\program files\curious labs. Inside your Poser 4 folder, locate the subfolder "Runtime \ Geometries". Create a sub-folder entitled "CmdCtrlEsc" and copy the OBJ geometry files into this folder. Inside your Poser 4 folder, locate the subfolder "Runtime \ Libraries \ character". Copy the "Morphing Habit" folder into the "Runtime \ Libraries \ character" folder. Inside your Poser 4 folder, locate the subfolder "Runtime \ Libraries \ Pose". Copy the "Morphing Habit" folder into the "Runtime \ Libraries \ Pose" folder. Inside your Poser 4 folder, locate the subfolder "Runtime \ Libraries \ Props". Copy the "Penny V3" folder into the "Runtime \ Libraries \ Props" folder. Inside your Poser 4 folder, locate the subfolder "Runtime \ Textures". Create a sub-folder entitled "CmdCtrlEsc" and copy the "PennyV3" textures folder into the "Runtime \ Textures \ CmdCtrlEsc" folder. ___________________ USAGE TIPS: This package includes Penny's full "Morphing Dreadful Habit" clothing set shown in the renders. This clothing set was designed and modelled specifically to fit Penny Dreadful's custom body shape, but has been modified with morph channels to fit the standard Victoria 3 as well as five of V3's full-body morphs. These are all custom morphs, and will allow these clothing items to fit many if not most of Vicki 3's body types. The spike-heeled boots should have IK turned off for both legs before conforming to the base figure. This will allow them to properly fit your V3 character's legs, but will push the heels below the floorline. Raising V3's hip will correctly position the heels to the floor. The "Morphing Habit" and "Morphing Bad Habit" clothing figures include a "skirt" body part for the lower portion, rather than being grouped to the individual leg segments. After applying a pose to the base figure, the swing of the skirt can be adjusted to match the pose. In most cases, minor adjustments to the taper and scale of the clothing parts should re-envelope the figure's legs, but in some extreme poses, parts of the figure's legs may need to be hidden. The "Strappie" bikini and the "Bad Habit" clothing pieces are close-fitting meshes, so in some poses, parts of the base figure may need to be hidden to fix "poke-thru". Alternately, some minor adjustments to the clothing items' morph channels should also fix these issues easily. Conforming a clothing item to a V3 figure tends to "zero out" the morph setting on the hip for some reason. After conforming, simply select the hip & re-set the morph channel setting. Some poke-thru is seen on the "Drape" clothing figure around the collar area. This is to help the "Cowl" figure fit better, but can be adjusted with scale and morph controls if desired. The pose files included will set the various clothing items to the common body type morphs. The "ZERO" pose settings will fit my Penny Dreadful character. Not all morph types are represented in these poses. This is because for some clothing items, one morph may fit more than one body type (young and faerie are very similar for some clothing items, for example). ___________________ CAUTIONS: 1. The "Bad Habit" clothing pieces are close-fitting meshes, so in some poses, parts of the base figure may need to be hidden to fix minor "poke-thru". Particular areas to watch out for are: the left forearm poke-thru on the "bad habit" and left foot/toe poke-thru on the boots. Both of these issues are easily remedied by turning off visibility on the base figure body parts. Minor adjustments to the clothing items' morph channels should fix other poke-thru issues easily. 2. When loading the boots, you will need to turn off IK for the boots figure before conforming the boots to Penny, or they will not conform properly. After turning off IK on the boots and conforming them to V3, you may pose V3 as you would normally. 3. When loading a "Cowl" figure from the library and conforming it to a V3 figure, you may notice that the lower parts may dip into other clothing figures that you have loaded. This can be fixed by applying the "Raise" morphs for the neck and chest of the cowl. Depending on the clothing item your are trying to put the cowl over, the values needed to clear it may range from 0.1~1.0. ___________________ FILES INCLUDED: Runtime Geometries CmdCtrlEsc Bad_Habit.obj Boots-UV.obj Cowl.obj Drape.obj Habit.obj Strappie-UV.obj Veil.obj Libraries character Morphing Habit Morphing Bad Habit (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Boots (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Cowl (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Drape (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Habit (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Strappie (cr2, png, and rsr) Morphing Veil (cr2, png, and rsr) Pose Morphing Habit Bad Habit - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Bad Habit - Buxom (pz2, png, and rsr) Bad habit - Faerie (pz2, png, and rsr) Bad Habit - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Bad Habit - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Buxom (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Faerie (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Pinup (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - Young (pz2, png, and rsr) Boots - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Cowl - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Cowl - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Cowl - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Buxom (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Faerie (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Pinup (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - Young (pz2, png, and rsr) Drape - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Buxom (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Faerie (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Pinup (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - Young (pz2, png, and rsr) Habit - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Buxom (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Faerie (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Pinup (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Voluptuous (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - Young (pz2, png, and rsr) Strappie - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Veil - Base V3 (pz2, png, and rsr) Veil - ZERO (pz2, png, and rsr) Props Penny V3 Rosary (pp2, png, and rsr) Rosy Shades (pp2, png, and rsr) Round Shades (pp2, png, and rsr) Sleek Shades (pp2, png, and rsr) Yardstick (pp2, png, and rsr) Textures CmdCtrlEsc PennyV3 cowl_scarf.jpg cowl_tex.jpg cross.jpg reflect.jpg rosary.jpg sackcloth.jpg stk_face.jpg stk_side.jpg
