The Painted Princesses for Victoria 3.0 Base, Victoria 3.0 Head Morph Pack, Victoria 3.0 Body Morph Pack and Kozaburo's Alice Hair. Finished December 7th, 2004 All of this product's content was created by Spothmann (Sabine Pothmann; naergilien@yahoo.de). Kharessa (kharessa_bloodroses@yahoo.com) was my muse to start making textures once again, so part of the credits for this texture set somehow belongs to her, even if she probably has no idea of rendering or picture editing at all ;-). To create the body textures, I used the following Merchant resources: Dal's Elements III by dalinise, REAL TATTOOs MEAGAPACK by Guillermo, Tribal Tattoo 2~PS Brushes and Texture set by Zephre; 96 More Brushes for Photoshop ~ eyebrows, eyelashes and pubic hair by Lisbeth. The hair and eyes were textured with pictures I took myself. This .zip-file contains the following files, to be put in the according folders: - The maps; to be put into \Runtime\textures\spothmann\princesses\ : AliceHairblackbeadsbump.jpg AliceHairblackbeadscolor.jpg AliceHairblackbeadstrans.jpg Ankhbodycolor.jpg Ankhheadcolor.jpg Eyeblue.jpg Eyebluegreen.jpg Eyebrows_lashes_color.jpg Eyebrows_lashes_trans.jpg Eyebump.jpg Eyechocolate.jpg Eyedarkbrown.jpg Eyeemerald.jpg Eyegoldenbrown.jpg Eyehazel.jpg Eyeocean.jpg Irezumibodycolor.jpg Irezumiheadcolor.jpg ankhteeth.jpg bodyindian.jpg headindianbump.jpg headindiancolor.jpg universalbump.jpg universalheadbump.jpg - the Mat Pose files as well as their according pictures in .rsr and .png file format (depending on the Version - P4 or PP - there is either the .rsr or .png file in the according folder. If you have ProPack, you install the PP folder; if you have P4, you install the P4 folder of the MAT files and just leave away (or delete) the other folder), to be put into : They allow you to use the Map poses in P4 as well as PP. If you should wish to use the mat poses for P4, however, you will have to convert the bumpmaps - I will explain later in this file how that works. \Runtime\Libraries\Pose\MAT Painted Princesses PP\ Eyes Blue PP.png Eyes Blue PP.pz2 Eyes Bluegreen PP.png Eyes Bluegreen PP.pz2 Eyes Chocolate PP.png Eyes Chocolate PP.pz2 Eyes Emerald PP.png Eyes Emerald PP.pz2 Eyes Golden brown PP.png Eyes Golden brown PP.pz2 Eyes Hazel PP.png Eyes Hazel PP.pz2 Eyes Ocean PP.png Eyes Ocean PP.pz2 Eyes dark brown PP.png Eyes dark brown PP.pz2 MAT Ankh PP.png MAT Ankh PP.pz2 MAT Indian PP.png MAT Indian PP.pz2 MAT Irezumi PP.png MAT Irezumi PP.pz2 MAT+MOR Alice Hair PP.png MAT+MOR Alice Hair PP.pz2 \Runtime\Libraries\Pose\MAT Painted Princesses P4\ Eyes Blue P4.pz2 Eyes Blue P4.rsr Eyes Bluegreen P4.pz2 Eyes Bluegreen P4.rsr Eyes Chocolate P4.pz2 Eyes Chocolate P4.rsr Eyes Emerald P4.pz2 Eyes Emerald P4.rsr Eyes Golden Brown P4.rsr Eyes Golden brown P4.pz2 Eyes Hazel P4.pz2 Eyes Hazel P4.rsr Eyes Ocean P4.pz2 Eyes Ocean P4.rsr Eyes dark brown P4.pz2 Eyes dark brown P4.rsr MAT Ankh P4.pz2 MAT Ankh P4.rsr MAT Indian P4.pz2 MAT Indian P4.rsr MAT Irezumi P4.pz2 MAT Irezumi P4.rsr MAT+MOR Alice Hair P4.pz2 MAT+MOR Alice Hair P4.rsr MAT+MOR Alice Hair PP.rsr Last not least - the INJ and REM pose files, which allow you to apply the character's head- and body morphs. The textures will probably also work with the other DAZ Unimesh Characters, such as Michael 3, Stephanie and David; but the morphs should only work with Victoria3 and the MAT / MOR of the Alice Hair only with just this. You will also need Poser 4, Poser ProPack or Poser 5. Installation: Simply extract the above mentioned files to their above mentioned, appropriate folders, which should also be like this in the .zip file. The .zip-file should do this automatically, however, if it does not, just refer to the above mentioned folders. You can delete after installation either the "PP" or "P4" folder in your poses library, depending on which version your're *not* using. Please be careful if you have installed any other than the english version of Poser, because then, your 'poses' folder will have a different name (in German, for example, it is "Posen"). You will then have to move the files that *should* go into 'Poses' to the appropriate language version of the folder. Conversion of bump maps: Poser 4 users will possibly have difficulties in applying the MAT pose files because the bump maps are based on *.jpg files, not *.bum files. .bum files have a great disadvantage: They need a *hell* lot of space - one of them in the size needed for a hi-rez-texture would probably have double the size of this complete package! This is the reason for there being *three* versions of each Mat Pose file: One begins with "P4", the other do not and will only work correctly in P5 / PP (depending on their names). If you are using P4 and therefore *need* the *.bum files, then there is a clever tutorial for you at Renderosity: http://www.renderosity.com/tut.ez?Form.ViewPages=87 This will explain to you how to convert the existing *.jpg-Bump maps (which all end on ...bump.jpg and can all be found in the \Runtime\textures\spothmann\princesses\ folder) into *.bum-files. You will then have to save these .bum files with the same name as the *.jpg version of the file had; for example: AliceHairblackbeadsbump.jpg would become AliceHairblackbeadsbump.bum and so on. It is not possible to just rename the files, you have to convert them the way it is described in the above mentioned tutorial. Place the converted bump maps in the \Runtime\textures\spothmann\princesses\ folder, and all the P4 mat poses will work without problems. How to use the textures: After installing, simply launch your Poser program. Add a V3 to your scene. It is very important that you use an unmodified, normal V3, but not the "BLANK" V3 if you do this, because otherwise the INJ pose might not work properly. Then first apply the INJ pose for the character, after that the MAT pose. Add Kozaburo's "Alice hair" to the scene and make sure it is selected before you apply the MAT+MOR pose for it! To change the eye color, select any part of the character and apply the eye pose. To remove the character's INJ features, simply use the appropriate REM pose. I would be happy about feedback and / or to be pointed to any images you have created using these textures ;-) Best wishes, Sabine Pothmann aka SPothmann aka Naergilien
