files\smith micro\poser) with option "Use Folder Names" checked ON. (Note: prior of getting the lights, better delete the existing lights) For ease of use the necessary props are gathered in 3 figures. Get the figures (and included props) from the "figures" folder, then "RPublishing", then "Designers Living Room" (ie from Runtime\libraries\characters\RPublishing\Designers Living Room). To add each figure to the scene, select the desired figure clicking it once, and then click on the symbol with the double tick (at the bottom of the menu). Get the light sets and camera sets: from their folders Light Sets and Camera Sets and clicking within those folders "RPublishing" folder and "Designers Living Room" folder. To apply different materials to the props, you have first to select the figure where the props belong to. The figures (that include the props) needed to build the complete scene are: Books.cr2 Ceiling and columns.cr2 Stairs and Upstairs.cr2 TV DVD and speakers.cr2 main room.cr2 small room.cr2 walls and structure.cr2 The same props that compose the above figures are also available in their own props folder. (To get the props: from the "props" folder, then "RPublishing", then "Desingers Living Room" (ie from Runtime\libraries\props\RPublishing\Designers Living Room). Notes: Camera and Light sets There are several camera views and light sets available in the product. Some camera views have no "special" requirements (in terms of props settings or light sets, say) but for some you have to take somethings into account: a) Camera Set "Backview wo wallback and upst" As its name implies, you have to turn invisible the prop "wallback" (that belongs to the "wall and structure" figure) and, preferably the whole "stairs and upstairs" figure. The suggest light set is: "backlight 01" b) The showroom lights "expect" that the prop "wall with large windows" (that belongs to the "wall and structure figure) and "ceiling A" (that belongs to "columns and fireplace" figure) to have "cast shadows" turned OFF. c) Several specific combinations of camera sets and light sets work better. In the renderings for the promo pictures, I used several combinations, which I list some, as suggestions: Camera set: "View eyelevel 01" Light set:"Sun blue global 01S" Camera set: "View 07" Light set:"Simple spot 01" Camera set: "View 08" Light set:"SUn rose global 01" Camera set: "View tv" Light set:"Simple 01" Camera set: "Music Room 01" Light set:"Music Room 00" Camera set: "View 06" Light set:"Small Room" Camera set: "View 02" Light set:"Simple 02" Camera set: "View small room" Light Set:"Sun blue global 01S" Camera set: "View small room" Light Set:"Showroom 02" Note that the more complex and complete light sets are the ones whose name begins with "Sun". They are perfectly appropriate to most views, specially the views that focus on the main room. However, these imply longer rendering times. All promo pictures were made using the "Poser renderer" (instead of Firefly), with AntiAlias and Shadows set to ON. The figures have usually one prop that is the parent: usually, it is the "floor" on that figure (moving the floor will move all the props within that figure) This product includes several maps that can be used as backgrounds.
