My premises at the construction of the model were, 1st details (a model for close up renders) 2nd easy handling (texturing) 3rd low polygon number The first version of the model had approx. 350 000 polys. The version you can buy here has 94636 polys. The model is now extracted 9.175 MB, The first Version had 21 MB Description I created the model in Cinema 4D v8, 2 The model comes with two different wood textures (one with two resolutions) and the textures for the hinges and the buttons. The model is adjusted to the size of the poser figures. The desk is 80 centimeters high (the tabletop). The model come as a figure and you can open and close the doors and drawers with the wheels "open". You can use the desk without the upper parts. The texturing is very easy. I ad one Poser 6 scene (you can open it in Poser 5 as well) with four spotlights (raytraced shadows). The spotlights in the scene are pointing at a target (an invisible ball). This is the scene I made the promo pictures with. !!!!!!!The floor texture with the old tiles is not provided!!!!!!!! Needed files: Poser 5 or 6 With some extra work all programs that import obj. files. Import possibilities This model is made for Poser, but if you have a program that can import obj. files you can simply open the obj. file in the runtime folder and import it to your program. The textures will work in the theme way as in Poser. I tested the Model in Poser 6 and 5 not in Poser 4 (but it may work) Texturing !!!Important information for the texturing of the model!!! I optimized the model for easy texturing. That means that you need only one wood texture for the whole model. The texture will be automatically placed on the wood parts of the model. As you see on the promo pictures the result is very satisfying. The disadvantage is, that you are limited with precise texturing of the upper parts and the main desk body. But you have the possibility to use different textures for the hinges, the buttons. each door, each drawer, the upper parts, each leg, each of the columns in the legs, the tabletop and the fillet around the tabletop. The fasted way to texture the model with your texture is, Apply your texture on one part of the model (for example to the tabletop) Then click on the upper right menu button (the small triangle) and click on - select all - then click again and now on -apply to all -. Now the model has the new texture on all the parts now change the hinge and the button texture If you want you can now apply separate textures on the parts mentioned above. The model comes with two material collections for Poser 6. And for Poser 5 you get two wood materials and the two materials for the hinges and the buttons. On the promo picture you can see the two variations, one with new wood and one with old wood.
