(Update 1.0) Added thumb grasp Added Twist and Twist Split controls for all digits Added Claw controls for all Digits Added uni-control to abdomen...do both hands at once if they're doing the same thing. --------------------------------------------- Step 1 (using morph manager) 1. Open Morph Manager and load "CarrierForMorphManager.pz2" in the left column. The file is located in your Poser runtime directory in a folder called "WTB-GraspThis" 2. Open Figure you'd like to add Grasp This! capability to in the right column 3. In Left Column (carrier) right-click on each body part in succession: abdomen, lHand and rHand and select copy all. 4. Save the figure on the right with a new filename, for example, "V3_GraspThis" --------------------------------------------- Step 2 1. Open Poser and Load your "Grasp This!" figure you created in step 1. 2. In Pose library, proceed to "Grasp This" folder and apply the injection pose within. --------------------------------------------- You are ready to go. Select left or right hand and notice your new controls. Each finger has it's own grasp, spread, claw and twist control. New in update 1: select the abdomen and notice that you have "Both" controls, so that you can grasp this with both hands in the same way at the same time. Handy! If you are using poser 6.1 you may wish to update to 6.2 in order to avoid certain issues with parameter sensitivity. ---------------------------------------------- Optional Step 1 for those who do not wish to use Morph Manager 1. Open Poser and Load your target figure 2. Select the Left Hand and go to Object/Create Magnet 3. Reselect the Left Hand 4. Go to Object/Spawn Morph Target and repeat this process, creating the following morphs: ---These same as above but put on Abdomen BothAllGrasp BothIndexGrasp BothMidGrasp BothRingGrasp BothPinkyGrasp BothThumbSpread BothIndexSpread BothMidSpread BothRingSpread BothPinkySpread BothAllSpread BothIndexClaw BothMidClaw BothRingClaw BothPinkyClaw BothThumbTwist BothIndexTwist BothMidTwist BothRingTwist BothPinkyTwist BothAllTwistSplit BothAllTwist BothThumbGrasp BothAllClaw --------------------- lThumbClaw lIndexClaw lMidClaw lRingClaw lPinkyClaw lThumbTwist lIndexTwist lMidTwist lRingTwist lPinkyTwist lAllTwist lAllTwistSplit lThumbGrasp lAllClaw lThumbSpread lIndexSpread lMidSpread lRingSpread lPinkySpread lIndexGrasp lMidGrasp lRingGrasp lPinkyGrasp lAllGrasp lAllSpread Note the case: l for left is lowercase. Name of finger is capitalized. Name of Function is Capitalized. Any deviation will result in failure. 5. Delete the magnet 6. Repeat steps 1-5 for Right Hand, starting them with an r respectively. ---------------------------------------------- Usage Tips: Regular "Grasp" and "Spread" dials function with limited capability. You may use these dials so long as they are used first in the process. If you want all fingers to grasp or spread as normal use these first, then you can ungrasp individual fingers or unspread individual fingers afterwards. If you use these dials second in the chain of events, unwanted results will occur. Be warned! To Offset this inconvienience, I have added replacement Left and Right AllGrasp and AllSpread Dials. I recommend using these in place of the Poser-Standard dials.
