Prop Construction Set ... Pack 02 - Constructive Elements 1 - Polarotica copyright 2006 This Set of Construction Primitives is designed to be used for the construction of more complex Props. There are 16 individual Props, each representing a fairly simple geometric form and all can be morphed in great variety of ways. In all there are 195 different morph parameter dials, so you have an almost unlimited range of configurations to work with. Each prop represents a single color grouping for easy texturing in the material room and you can use them individually or combine one primitive with another to build all sorts of useful objects. You may, of course, do this manually and you are free to put the prop files into any directory you wish. How to use: The various prop files are loaded from the library window like any other. There are no external material or pose files to worry about. Once loaded, you can morph the prop into the desired form using the morph parameter dials and then assign materials in the material room. You may, in many cases, use props individually, but the purpose of the collection is to build more complex forms by combining the gemetrics together. I use these primitives as a quick and dirty method to put basic forms together which can then be further modified with a lower level 3D modeller (Carrara is my choice currently). Even if you don't wish to be that involved, you can still create permanent props... Simply combine your primitives, then export the whole group to the .obj format, reimport, then add the finished piece to your prop library. To make multi-textured objects, you will need to play around with the grouping tool a little bit (renaming the various components simplifies this considerably), but this is half the fun of experimenting and playing with the props!
