In your chosen application, navigate to the various obj files found in 'obj file and textures'. Either load the separate parts, or the taverncomplete_no_anim.obj for a quick result. 3. In your applications material editor you may need to link the model to the texture files. 4. Check the bump settings to get the effect you like. a. In 3d max we recommend reducing bump value to 30. b. In Vue5 we recommend settings around 0.05 c. In poser, try settings between 0.08 and 0.3 d. In Maya, try 0.05 See the 'readme poser.txt' in the 'For_Poser' folder for more information on poser6 See the 'readme vue.txt' in the 'For_Vue' folder for more information on vue5 -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: To use this model you need any program that can import *.obj files. Navigate to the obj files found in 'obj file and textures'. You can try importing the 'taverncomplete_no_anim.obj file. If your program welds the mesh so you can't open the doors, then load the individual parts. If you import the separate parts, check your applications import options dialogue for settings that might effect the final position. If settings like 'centre' or 'drop to floor' are enabled then the parts will not assemble in the correct locations for you. you will have to move them into position after import. Try different bump settings to get different effects. With a bit of imagination you could use the parts to help make new buildings. Poser set-up has been tested in Poser6, but may work in other versions The Vue *.vob file has been tested in Vue5 Infinite. It should work in other vue5 versions and may work in earlier Vue versions. -------------------------------------- Files Included in the Product: For convenience, you may like to unzip the folder 'Dark Anvil' directly into your C: drive. This should help maintain texture file links in some cases. Any broken links can easily be repaired inside your chosen application.
