CONVERSION AND/OR APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sheer Satin Tutorial: ---Working with 1 clothprop--- 1. load the figure, uncheck the Inverse Kinematics ( figure--> use inverse kinematics , uncheck) 2. load the clothprop 3. parent the clothprop to the figure - select Object--> change parent--> double click to hip of figure 1 4. Zero the figure with the Satin sheer pose out of your library 5. go to clothroom, create a new Simulation, "simulationsettings": Check cloth selfcollusion, add 5 drapingframes 6. Select the clothprop, press clothyfy 7. press "Collide against" Check the whole figure, scroll down and uncheck the box of the clothprop, CHeck "Start draping from Zero Pose" Check "Ignore head collusions","Ignore hands collusions" and "ignore feet collusions" if the cloth will not reach the feet or hands of the figure during the calculation. 8. Go to Animation control down on You Screen Got to frame 30 (Left click in the left sided Box with the "1"), type in 30. Choose a desired body pose (No morph for learning please, I will explain this later) for Your figure out of the sheer satin poses, Close the libraries - select Window-->librariy or press the little cross in the library window. 9. Check the calculation while moving the arrow to left and right may be heplful. 10. Everything OK ? No extreme rotation? No pokethroughs of the hands? Then finally press the button "calculate siulation" right above on your Screen With a little patience You can now see how poser calculates the dynamics. ---Working with 2 Clothprops--- Load Both clothprops You desire in your scene Every clothprop needs it own simulation. First choose the cloth which is nearest to the body, set the first simulation and make the settings as in the first tutorial. now select the clothprop which is farest from body, follow the tutorial above again until You reach point 7. 7. Here press "Collide against" Check the whole figure, scroll down and CHECK the box of the FIRST clothprop, CHeck "Start draping from Zero Pose" Check "Ignore head collusions","Ignore hands collusions" and "ignore feet collusions" only if the prop will not reach the feet or hands of the figure during the calculation too. Continue with point 8 to 10 and press "calculate" Run the first simulation for first, then run the second setted simulation. You will see that poser calculates the second cloth over the first. It might be that poser needs a bit more time , that's the result of calculating TWO clotheprops. But in my simulations this takes not more than tree minutes. ---Using Costum morphs in a simulation with the SheerSatinCollection--- when You want to use a costum bodymorph apply it in the same frame where You aplied the bodypose too. Return to frame 1,select the figure body and scale it down to 90-95%. Go to the last frame of Your calculation and scale figure back to 100% Doing these changes will take care that the cloth fits well to a costum morphed figure. Sometimes V3's Nipples come through the clothes although everything is done right - just load out of the DAZ V3 poses "Nipples gone" and set the morph to 1- this helps ;) If You will follow this tutorial step by step You soon will get it into Your mind, doesn't matter if You ever have used dynamic clothes or not :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- USEAGE TIPS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For first testing of the SheerSatinCollection I recommand a free standing pose. Don`t forget to check if all parts of figure or other scenecontent the cloth will touch is checked in the "Collide against" Window! ---Applying the materialcollections--- Select the clothprop, got to the materialroom, apply the material by doubleclicking You can use the Shirt-mats on the Bolero and the shirt, the dress-mats for both dresses, the skirt mats only for the skirt. If You have choosen a material not matching the selected clothprop poser will popup a warning. Just click "No" ,select the right material and apply it. ---The single mats--- I have added the single materials for comforting applying matching materials on accesories like shoes , scarfs, handbags and so on. These are no materialcollections and should work in P5 too so P5 users who can use the clothes with the default materialsettings can change the mats too. Of Course it will take some more time ;) Go to materialroom, Select the materialzone of the clothprop and apply the material. Don't forget that You have to apply a material to every materialzone of the cloth when You like to change the whole look, not only one part. Feel free to play around with transparency, colours and lightsettings- every change will create a new slooks and new effects. So it's a never ending materialsource which needs only a minimum space in Your runtime. ---The render presets--- Press CTRL+Y, the preset window will pop up and now press "load preset" , select "Sheer Satin Collection" and the render preset will load. It's optimized to get very GOOD results, it's not scaled to the maximum poser IS ABLE to render. But this makes sure You can get a well rendered image without the wellknown memory problems :) Tip: When it's not a closed up portrait You could scale down texturesize to 2048 and set up Minimum shadinrate to 0,5 to 1,0 without loosing much renderquality.
