In this package you get a custom character and 3 complete hi-res texture sets for David optimized for use in Poser 5/6. All textures were created using Photoshop CS2 and photos from a photo-shooting made by Antonio Rodriguez with a male model. The partly colored body and facial hair was painted with Jepe's own dynamic Photoshop CS2 brushes. This texture has not been mirrored - so both the skin on the left side is different from the right. Once you have purchased DANIEL FOR D3 - Don't forget to download the BONUS file listed in the package. IMPORTANT: In order to use the DANIEL FOR D3 INJ/REM poses you MUST have the "Head" and "Body" morph packs for David from DAZ3D!!! The INJ morph changes David into Daniel, and modifies his look to a new and exciting man who no longer resembles the default figure. A REM morph is included to help you remove the Daniel look to return your figure back to the default David face. DANIEL FOR D3 comes with 3 "complete" body MATs which allow you to instantly create one of three different Daniel males. The MATs for 5 different head types are included, from smooth shaven to 5 o'clock shadow, to goatee, scruffy or trendy-bearded. You can mix and match the heads, bodies and eyes to make your Daniel unique. DANIEL FOR D3 comes complete with a set of MATs for the D3 genital figure with both cut and uncut looks. If you want to place the files by hand, please see the included file list. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: Load David into Poser. Apply the Daniel morph INJ poses from the !Daniel pose folder. IMPORTANT: In order to use the DANIEL FOR D3 INJ/REM poses you MUST have the "Head" and "Body" morph packs for David from DAZ3D!!! DANIEL FOR D3 uses its body and facial textures dually as bump-maps (using a negative value). To apply the DANIEL FOR D3 textures correctly, you can use one of the 3 MAT complete poses included in the set: - !!Daniel MAT1 - !!Daniel MAT2 - !!Daniel MAT3 These will load the complete corresponding body texture and the appropriate face textures with the default eye color (blue). If using the D3 genitals provided with David, applying the MATs for them will automatically make the genitals disappear -- don't worry they are not gone -- due to the use of a transmap in order to better match the different body textures. To see the figure again, simply go to the Render Menu and select "Reload Textures" and they will reload the genital figure. In order to change the look of your DANIEL FOR D3 character, you can mix and match the body, head and eye textures using the provided MATs. In order to keep Poser from getting confused -- always remember to select the correct figure before applying the MAT poses! Rendering in Poser 5/6 ---------------------- When rendering with Poser 5 or Poser 6 please make sure that you set the Firefly Renderer in "Production Mode" for your final renders. If you don't you will not the most out of your DANIEL FOR D3 textures. Make sure you have the following settings checked: - Smooth Polygons - Raytracing - Use Displacement Maps Make sure you have the following settings unchecked: - Texture Filtering And the following values set: - Minimum Displacement Bounds to 1.00 - Maximum Texture Resolution to 4096 or higher (otherwise the hi-res body hair will appear blurry in the final render!) Rendering with the Unimesh Realism Kit by Paul Kinnane (face_off) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Be certain to use similar settings as shown in the "URK Settings.jpg" image provided in the "\Runtime\!Daniel README" folder. Most important is to use a NEGATIVE bump value -0.04 for close-ups, -0.1 for distance renders. If you are rendering in P5/P6 with the P4 render engine, make sure that you check "Ignore Shader Trees" otherwise the render engine cannot efficiently handle PP/P5/P6 JPG bump and displacement settings -- hence you can end up with very strange render results! The best way to do this is to take a look at the "FireflyRenderSettings.jpg" image provided in the "\Runtime\!Daniel README" folder. It's most definately easier! More Life-Like Portrait Renders ------------------------------- As with any good portrait, you will always see reflections in the eyes of the subject based on the lighting used by the photographer -- we can duplicate this effect in Poser simply by placing one or two simple square plane props in front of the face of the figure. Set the "Ambience" to white and the "Ambience Amount" to 1.0 -- this is possible since the corneas and eye-whites already have reflection activated.
