ROARING OUT OF THE WASTELAND! Vehicle Set Wasteland Rover for Poser4 Copyright 9-3-06 by kalebdaark All of this product's content was created by kalebdaark Included in ZIP: This file, License text file. All files listed in file list, below. REQUIRED: Poser 4 PC only, not tested on Mac. RECOMMENDED: Newer, High-speed computers (1.0 Ghz +) with plenty of RAM. Rendering multiple vehicles/props at a time may slow your render time. INSTALLATION: Extract the files into your the appropriate Poser directories. This should be done automatically by WinZip by selecting your Poser directory as the destination. It will place the appropriate props folder found under the Library section of this zip into your \Libraries\Props directory of Poser. This should be done automatically by winZip. Textures are pre-loaded. USE: Poser4: YOU MUST CONVERT JPEG FILE TO .BUM (Bump) MAPS BEFORE CREATING THE VEHICLE. Boot up Poser and Create a Shape. Then go to Render -> Materials and load the bump maps Rover Body BUMP.jpg, Laser Turret BUMP.jpg, and Tyre BUMP.jpg. When poser asks you to convert these to bump maps, click "OK". Poser 5&6: If you would like to try this model in Poser 5 or 6, please be aware that the model was put together in Poser 4 and was not tested in Poser 5 or 6. This means that Poser will look for the .BUM files when you create the various objects. Bump maps have been provided in JPEG format and are appropriately named, i.e., Rover Body BUMP.jpg, etc. You will have to manually load these bump maps onto the respective objects. If you choose to re-save the objects with the change, make sure that the Rover's chassis object is named "!RoverBody". Create the vehicle by first double-clicking on the first file in the library. This is the Chassis prop. Then double-click on each additional prop in the library. This assembles the vehicle. All props are parented so that the vehicle will have moving parts. Note: If you want to create several of the same vehicle in the same workspace, you will have to re-parent the subequent add-on props to the second chassis, and so on. If you want to create several to use in a render, it might also be a good idea to create your vehicle driver character first. Then parent the chassis to this character. You can then save the vehicle driver character and you will have the vehicle parented to him/her for later use. This will also allow you to put several of the same type vehicle into the workspace more quickly and efficiently. COLORS & MAPS: All the building pieces come with multiple mapping regions and morphs. These features are described in detail below. Default Maps are Pre loaded. For best results, set your shadow maps to 1024. Render time increases the more props you have in the workspace. The props are medium-poly count, with a few exceptions, so please note this. There is a material calle material_1. Please leave this transparent. MAKING GLASS WINDOWS: The Model is equipped with Driver Glass windows - "Drvrglass" and Passenger Observation Bubble glass - "Passglass". Use the transparency slider bar to make these clearer if you wish. If windows are desired, go to the appropriate material in the Poser Surface Material -selector by clicking Render -> Materials or hitting CTRL-U. Find the region, and set it for 80%-90% transparency and selecting "NONE" for the material for this region. Add reflection and highlight, and you will have pleasant looking clear windows. If you have the front laser, you may need to lower it a bit also with the observation bubble.
