The Medusa is a large model. The variety of camera settings allows you to quickly focus on many parts of the ship. These presets can be easily modified. All cameras are Main Camera settings, maximized for pose window proportions of 500 by 650 pixels. 2. For best results, turn off Inverse Kinematics (IK) and turn off Limits. Poses were designed generally within limits with a few exceptions for flexibility. 3. Select the sailor's Hip and apply the pose. Then apply the appropriate camera setting. The Camera Library icons show the matching pose. You can also set the camera first, then apply the pose. Posing first is a little faster, you do not then have to reselect the figure and apply the pose. You can also select the regular studio Pose Camera to zero in on a figure. 4. All crewmen were posed in bare feet as most common sailors worked barefooted in all weathers. Bare feet provided a better grip on the deck and rigging ropes. Adding sea-boots to your sailors will require Y-axis adjustment. 5. The deck of the Medusa is sloped fore and aft, and there are different deck levels. Moving sailors fore and aft along the ship will require Y-axis adjustment. 6. Topmen can be moved from mast to mast, and will also require adjustment. 7. Small arms shooters feature the flintlock pistol and rifle by Faveral, available in his Poser Pros Trapper Kit 1. See the JPGs included in the ParamDials-Medusa Gear, located in the ReadMe folder for smart-propping the guns. Attach each weapon to the right hand Parent to make it a smart prop, then key in the parameter dial values shown in the JPGs. The sextant and spyglass are also by Faveral, available at Poser Pros in the Naval Bric-a-Brac package. The drum is available in the DAZ Free Archives. Param Dial settings for these props are also included. Other similar props may also be used, which may require tweaking by the User.
