Check your Poser manual for more detailed information on using the cloth room and it's advanced settings. 1. Add the figure to the scene. 2. With the Figure selected, turn off Inverse Kinetics for both Legs (feet) from the "Figure" menu. 3. Select the figure's "hip" and then select "Joint Editor" from the "Window" menu. Click the "Zero Figure" button in the dialog box then close it. 4. Add the clothing to the scene. Clothing is already parented to the hip. 5. Enter the cloth room and verify in the animation controls that you are on Frame 1, with your figure in the "Zero" pose. 6. Move the animation control to Frame 15, and then set up or select and apply your desired pose. If you are planning to use a custom character morph that affects the figure's body shape, locate and apply that too. NOTE: The clothing will not automatically conform to the figure when you alter the pose - ignore it for now. 7. Click the "New Simulation" button in the Cloth Simulation area of the Cloth Room. 8. In the Simulation Range fields of the settings dialog box, enter 1 for the Start Frame and 25 for the End Frame. 9. In the Additional Cloth Collision Options section of the settings dialog box, check the Cloth self-collision checkbox, then click OK. 10. Click the "Clothify" button, select the clothing item from the pulldown menu, then click Clothify. 11. Click the "Collide Against..." button, then in the Cloth Collision Objects dialog box, click the Add/Remove button to open the Hierarchy Selection dialog. Use the checkboxes to select Body Parts the clothing will collide (drape on) against, then click OK. In the Figure Collision options section, check the Ignore hands/feet/head collisions checkboxes if desired, then click OK. PANTS COLLIDE AGAINST: waist, abdomen, hip, buttocks, thighs, feet, toes (don't forget shoes if applicable SHORTS COLLIDE AGAINST: waist, abdomen, hip, buttocks, thighs TSHIRT COLLIDES AGAINST: neck, chest, collars, Shoulders, waist, abdomen, hip, buttocks (DONT FORGET PANTS or SHORTS) SHIRT COLLIDES AGAINST: chest, Collars, Shoulders, ForeArms, waist, abdomen, hip, buttocks (DONT FORGET PANTS or SHORTS) VEST COLLIDES AGAINST: chest, Collars, waist, abdomen, hip, buttocks (DONT FORGET PANTS or SHORTS) 12. Click the "Calculate Simulation" button and wait for the simulation to complete. If there are no problems the simulation should be complete in under 2 minutes. Some poses (hands on hips or arms crossed over chest, for example) may cause bunching in the cloth. Try adjusting the pose slightly or check your Poser manual for more detailed information on using the cloth room and it's advanced settings. _______________________________________________________________________________ NOTES: When running multiple cloth simulations in a single scene, start at the bottom. Clothing simulations should be run from the inside out. In this case, pants and shorts simulations should be run BEFORE shirt simulations because the shirts overlap the pants. It is also important to remember to include lower clothing items in the "Collide Against" list. The Shirts are higher resolution models than the pants to provide smoother draping in problem areas like collar and elbo joints. If you are experiencing unsightly bunching, try extending the Simulations for these garments a few frames beyond the length of the pants simulations All of the content in this package was created by fcoffill and lsweet.
