Gamekeeper's Hut Magical Scottish Highlands Hut and Environment for Poser 7. Copyright 2007 Greg Sandor. All Rights Reserved. Greg Sandor greg@gregsandor.com http://www.gregsandor.com All of this product's content was created by Greg Sandor ("muralist"). ------------------------------------------------------------ Magical Scottish Highlands Hut and Environment figure and smart props. This is a scale model of a fantastic building in the Scottish Highlands. The lighting and background simulates evening on the Spring Equinox at that location. For Poser 7. Twelve original meshes and unique, custom texture, bump, displacement and opacity maps bring the magical Highlands to life in your artwork. Fourteen original props included so your characters can inhabit the interior and garden outdoors. Add tables and cupboards to the Hut, harvest giant pumpkins, or fill the game rack with the bounty of the forest. Meshes, uvs, textures, and poser files optimized for efficient rendering and animation. The hut and terrain are modeled from real world data. The lighting represents spring equinox, 1530 hrs, 2003. The environment may be used for any scenes requiring a mountain vista. ------------------------------------------------------------ Files/Programs required that are not in the zip files: Poser 7 ------------------------------------------------------------ Installation: To install, simply extract the contents of GSHut.zip with paths and folders into your Poser folder. If you do the following in order you can exactly recreate the environment as shown in the product renderings. 1. Start Poser. Delete all the lights in your scene. Turn off the Ground Plane and Ground Shadows. 2. Add IBLGlencoeSp1530hrs lighting to your scene. In the Parameter dial, check On Raytraced Shadows, blur 8. 3a. Add the GSHutAndPropsP7 figure. 4. Select the GSHutCam0. You are ready to render! Use the included cameras or your own, and Render with Firefly with the default automatic settings slider pushed all the way to the right (with Raytracing On, Use Displacement, Smoothing off). The best suggestion is to follow the above instructions and get the same results as in the Promo Renders shown here. If you render with a camera OUTSIDE of the product's sky-dome, you could end up with a completely black render. So start with the included cameras. Then you will be able to fully enjoy how the product works. Have fun, and let us see what you do with the Gamekeeper's Hut in your renders and artwork! The Gamekeeper's Hut is a figure. Each item of furniture is a smartprop. When you click on the Hut to load the figure, Poser reads the .cr2 for the Hut: it loads the main Hut building, then looks for the furniture items. In the code is an instruction that tells Poser, "after you load the Hut building, then add the cupboard. The cupboard is located in such-and-such folder." If you move the props to a different relative location, or change their names, remember to modify the .cr2 to point to the new location. If you are a novice, install the set and leave the folder names as they are: it will work fine. It is recommended that you do not move the directories or rename them as some of the references are coded directly to the installation paths. If you move or rename them, you may experience Poser searching for various files which you will have to manually point to after the search. Best results are with the installation as created by the Installer ZIP. If you have any questions contact greg@gregsandor.com. I am always interested to see what you produce with these and welcome links to your artwork. ------------------------------------------------------------ Extras: All of the doors and windows can be opened and closed with the parameter dials in the Hut figure BODY. For convenience in setting up your scene, the hut's roof and walls can be hidden: Select the GSHut figure and in Body Parts, select Roof and/or Walls. In the parameter dial, uncheck Visible. To use Simple Materials instead of P7 shaders, load the GSHutAndPropsSimple figure instead of GSHutAndPropsP7. If your camera is blocked by the CDPanorama, in Render Settings, check Cull Backfacing Polygons or change its scale in the Parameter Dial. Materials that use overlays, like Glass and WoodMaskV, can be retextured with images similarly. Other textures simply use tiled images. Included is a set each of Simple Materials and Shaders used in the figure and props. ------------------------------------------------------------ Polycount: 24,295 including Hut figure, all props, terrain, and panorama sphere. ------------------------------------------------------------ Included files: ..\Runtime\Geometries\GSGeom\ GSGamekeeperHut.obj GSHutCupboard.obj GSHutGameRack.obj GSHutGardenWall.obj GSHutHitchingPost.obj GSHutPumpkin.obj GSHutPumpkinPatch.obj GSHutRocks.obj GSHutScarecrow.obj GSHutSettle.obj GSHutTerrain.obj GSPanorama.obj ..\Runtime\Libraries\Camera\GSCam\ GSHutCam0.cm2 GSHutCam0.png GSHutCam1.cm2 GSHutCam1.png GSHutCam2.cm2 GSHutCam2.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Character\GSArch\ GSHutAndPropsP7.cr2 GSHutAndPropsP7.png GSHutAndPropsSimple.cr2 GSHutAndPropsSimple.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Light\GSLight\ IBLGlencoeSp1530hrs.lt2 IBLGlencoeSp1530hrs.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Materials\GSHutShaders\ GSHutShaders.mc6 GSHutShaders.png Panorama.mt5 Panorama.png Sh_Glass.mt5 Sh_Glass.png Sh_Iron.mt5 Sh_Iron.png Sh_Lashing.mt5 Sh_Lashing.png Sh_LeafA.mt5 Sh_LeafA.png Sh_LeafB.mt5 Sh_LeafB.png Sh_PumpkinG.mt5 Sh_PumpkinG.png Sh_PumpkinJack.mt5 Sh_PumpkinJack.png Sh_PumpkinO.mt5 Sh_PumpkinO.png Sh_PumpkinR.mt5 Sh_PumpkinR.png Sh_PumpkinStem.mt5 Sh_PumpkinStem.png Sh_Roof.mt5 Sh_Roof.png Sh_Scarecrow.mt5 Sh_Scarecrow.png Sh_StoneDusty.mt5 Sh_StoneDusty.png Sh_StoneMossy.mt5 Sh_StoneMossy.png Sh_StoneSlab.mt5 Sh_StoneSlab.png Sh_StoneSlabMask.mt5 Sh_StoneSlabMask.png Sh_Terrain.mt5 Sh_Terrain.png Sh_Tin.mt5 Sh_Tin.png Sh_Wax.mt5 Sh_Wax.png Sh_WoodBark.mt5 Sh_WoodBark.png Sh_WoodGrainEnd.mt5 Sh_WoodGrainEnd.png Sh_WoodGrainV.mt5 Sh_WoodGrainV.png Sh_WoodGrainVMask.mt5 Sh_WoodGrainVMask.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Materials\GSHutSimple\ GSHutSimpleMAT.mc6 GSHutSimpleMAT.png Tx_Glass.mt5 Tx_Glass.png Tx_Iron.mt5 Tx_Iron.png Tx_Lashing.mt5 Tx_Lashing.png Tx_LeafA.mt5 Tx_LeafA.png Tx_LeafB.mt5 Tx_LeafB.png Tx_PumpkinG.mt5 Tx_PumpkinG.png Tx_PumpkinJack.mt5 Tx_PumpkinJack.png Tx_PumpkinO.mt5 Tx_PumpkinO.png Tx_PumpkinR.mt5 Tx_PumpkinR.png Tx_PumpkinStem.mt5 Tx_PumpkinStem.png Tx_Roof.mt5 Tx_Roof.png Tx_Scarecrow.mt5 Tx_Scarecrow.png Tx_StoneDusty.mt5 Tx_StoneDusty.png Tx_StoneMossy.mt5 Tx_StoneMossy.png Tx_StoneSlab.mt5 Tx_StoneSlab.png Tx_StoneSlabMask.mt5 Tx_StoneSlabMask.png Tx_Terrain.mt5 Tx_Terrain.png Tx_Tin.mt5 Tx_Tin.png Tx_Wax.mt5 Tx_Wax.png Tx_WoodBark.mt5 Tx_WoodBark.png Tx_WoodGrainEnd.mt5 Tx_WoodGrainEnd.png Tx_WoodGrainV.mt5 Tx_WoodGrainV.png Tx_WoodGrainVMask.mt5 Tx_WoodGrainVMask.png ..\Runtime\Libraries\Props\GSProps\ GSHutCupboard.png GSHutCupboard.pp2 GSHutGameRack.png GSHutGameRack.pp2 GSHutGardenWall.png GSHutGardenWall.pp2 GSHutHitchingPost.png GSHutHitchingPost.pp2 GSHutPanorama.png GSHutPanorama.pp2 GSHutPumpkinG.png GSHutPumpkinG.pp2 GSHutPumpkinJack.pp2 GSHutPumpkinO.png GSHutPumpkinO.pp2 GSHutPumpkinPatch.png GSHutPumpkinPatch.pp2 GSHutPumpkinR.png GSHutPumpkinR.pp2 GSHutRocks.png GSHutRocks.pp2 GSHutScarecrow.png GSHutScarecrow.pp2 GSHutSettle.png GSHutSettle.pp2 GSHutTable.png GSHutTable.pp2 GSHutTerrain.png GSHutTerrain.pp2 ..\Runtime\Textures\GSTex\GSArch\ GHHutGardenLeafA.jpg GHHutGardenLeafABump.jpg GHHutGardenLeafB.jpg GHHutGardenLeafBBump.jpg GSBrushedDk.jpg GSDust.jpg GSGrassDk.jpg GSGrassLt.jpg GSGravelDk.jpg GSGravelLt.jpg GSHutXBump.jpg GSHutXRGB.jpg GSHutXRoofDisplace.jpg GSHutXRoofSpec.jpg GSHutXRoofTex.jpg GSHutXStone.jpg GSHutXStoneCracquelure.jpg GSHutXStoneDisplace.jpg GSIronOxide.jpg GSLashing.jpg GSLashingBump.jpg GSPumpkinBump.jpg GSPumpkinG.jpg GSPumpkinJack.jpg GSPumpkinJackBump.jpg GSPumpkinO.jpg GSPumpkinR.jpg GSRockDk.jpg GSRockLt.jpg GSWaxPale.jpg GSWoodBWH.jpg GSWoodBWV.jpg GSWoodBark.jpg GSWoodGrainEndBump.jpg GSWoodLtHDeep.jpg GSWoodLtVDeep.jpg HPWoodLtO.jpg ..\Runtime\Textures\GSTex\GSEnv\ EnvGlencoeSp128.tif EnvGlencoeSp1530hrsLatLongLDR.tif EnvGlencoeSp1530hrsProbeLDR.tif ..\Runtime\Textures\GSTex\GSTer\ GSHutSiteElev.jpg GSHutSiteGravelMask.jpg GSHutSitePaint.jpg GSHutSiteRockMask.jpg GSHutSiteTerrain.jpg ------------------------------------------------------------ Usage License: You may use these figures and props in any commercial or non-commercial render, image, or animation.
