V4 Wet&Tan Bombshell by Dave Burdick Copyright 2008 V4 Wet&Tan Bombshell is an innovative V4 Character and conforming clothing collection optimized for wet skin renderings. The vividly detailed high fidelity skin textures and custom specular maps are matched with a custom skin shader in Poser to produce very life-like wet skin renders. The wet skin details will react according to the amount and direction of specular lighting in the scene so you can achieve many different wetness looks ranging from slightly wet to soaked. There are wet and wet/tan skin mats along with 5 makeup head textures. The body and head are completely custom morphs built using Mudbox that will work with either the simple base V4 or the V4++ products from DAZ. The body morph contains two types of breast configurations - Natural and Buxom. To aid in creating more realistic renders, a Bonus 15 set IBL collection is included. The light set is very simple to use as each light set contains only 2 lights: one IBL light and one Specular Only light so there is little to no adjustment required - just load and render to produce very life-like renders. The lights are grouped into 4 categories - Ambient, Backlighting, Contrasted and Mapped and have 4 hue ranges in each collection ranging from cooler to warmer. A conforming bikini top and bottom are included which contain all of the major V4 morphs including custom fit morphs for the Bombshell character. All of the promotional images shown here were produced using the Poser Firefly rendering engine with no postwork except for the hair. The hair is not included. Place the folders into your Poser runtime Usage Instructions: =================== Injecting the Bombshell Character Morphs: -------------------------------------------------------- 1. Load V4 into the scene and go to your Pose --> V4Wet&Tan menu. 2. There are three type of Morph injections: MorphAll - will inject both the Body and Head, MorphBody - Injects just the body, MorphHead - injects only the head. 3. You will see the injected morphs on the V4 Body Panel under the Morphs -->INJChannels -->Community area. If you inject either the MorphAll or MorphBody morphs, several additional morph line items will appear including "Bombshell Breasts Buxom" to change from the default Natural Breast configuration to Buxom Breasts and a "Nipples Gone" morph to adjust the nipple height. Injecting the Bombshell Character Textures: -------------------------------------------------------- 1. With V4 loaded into the scene go to your Pose --> V4Wet&Tan menu. 2. Click the "Skin-All" button to inject all of the default textures. If you want to use the tan-wet texture, click the "Skin-Tan" button. If you want to revert back to the default wet body texture, click the "Skin-Wet" button. Note: depending on the amount and direction of your scene specular lighting, you will see different wetness patterns appear in the skin just as you do in real life. To reduce the amount of wetness, reduce the intensity of the scene specular lighting. Conversely, to increase wetness, increase specular light intensity. 3. There are two types of Eye Reflection Mats: "RayTraced" which produce simple round type highlights and "Reflection Mapped" which utilizes a custom eye reflection map to produce more of a window-type highlight. 4. To change Eye Colors, Lip and Nail colors, or Makeup colors, simply click any of the mat pose buttons found in the Pose --> V4Wet&Tan menu. Injecting and Conforming the Bombshell Bikini Top and Bottom ------------------------------------------------------------- 1. With V4 loaded into the scene go to your Character --> V4Wet&Tan menu. 2. Click on the BikiniTop or BikiniBottom buttons 3. After the clothing item is loaded into the scene, conform it to V4 by using the Figure --> ConformTo Poser menu. 4. All of the Morphs for the Top and Bottom are found in the main Body panel dial on each clothing item 5. The default configuration for each clothing item is set up to fit the V4 Bombshell character. If you want to fit the clothing to V4, use the "FitV4" morph Injecting the Bombshell Bikini Top and Bottom Textures ------------------------------------------------------ 1. Select the clothing item in the scene. 2. Go to your Pose --> V4Wet&Tan menu and click any of the Top or Bottom mat pose buttons. Using the SkinVue IBL Lights ---------------------------- 1. To load in a light set, go to the Lights --> SkinVue menu. 2. The lights are grouped into 4 categories - Ambient, Backlighting, Contrasted and Mapped and have 4 hue ranges in each collection ranging from cooler to warmer. The Ambient category contains very slight shadows. The Backlit category adds two low power infinite lights behind the character to produce rim or edge highlights. The Contrast category produces very dark shadows. The Mapped category uses Low Definition light maps to produce very scattered-looking highly ambient light. 3. The lights are optimized for "Scene-based" Ambient Occlusion rendering so you must have "Ray-Tracing" enabled in your Firefly render settings with at least 3 "Ray-Trace Bounces. 4. Each light set contains only two lights (with the exception of the Backlit collection with contain 4 lights): a global IBL light and a Specular Only light. In most cases, you won't need to adjust anything. If you want to change the look of the wet specular highlights, move the light labeled "Specular Only" and/or adjust the intensity of this light. Moving the IBL light will have no effect since the light is generated via a fixed light dome. Rendering Tips: --------------- 1. If you find that there are shadow artifacts appearing in your renders, try turning down the Ambient Occlusion strength for the IBL light. In most cases, a value of 0.4 to 0.7 works well. 2. For greater realism, set the Firefly "Min Shading Rate" to a value of 0.0 to 0.2.
