For this reason I cannot provide support for Mac. Should you wish to use this product then the files will need to be converted to a suitable file format using the MAC converter and installer available at http://www.soft-rabbit.com Using texture files: Load the dress prop into Poser and ensure it is selected and then double click on the MAT pose file you wish to use. In order to use the MAT Pose files the Dress Prop must be parented to your chosen figure, this happens on loading the garment into Poser after you have loaded the figure. -------------- -------------- Usage Tips/Limitations This pack contains .pz2 files for applying the textures, alternatively Material (.mc6) files are included for use in the material room if you prefer to use those. For best results load your figure into the Preview window and then use the default pose supplied with this pack to ensure that there is no pokethrough of the body into the garment. All settings for the textures are created with the Display Units set to Feet. If you are receiving unwanted results from your rendered textures then Go to Edit>>General Preferences>Interface and check your display units. All of the textures in this pack rely on Displacement maps to achieve the fabric finish. In order to get the same results as shown in the promotional images you must use the Firefly Render Enginer with "Use Displacement Maps" checked. Should you not wish to use the included displacements on any figure you can turn this off by detaching the Displacement map node in the Material Room, if you disable displacement maps for rendering it will ignore all the displacement information for each figure in the scene. Boosting the displacement settings will give a much fluffier finish to the knits. This pack comes with 3 different options for the Sweaterdress mesh: 4Ply - A fine yarn that drapes and folds in a similar way to silk or satin. 2Knit - A midweight yarn that behaves in a similar way to cottons. Chunky - a thick yarn that behaves in a manner similar to denims. Choose the style of knit to match your chosen texture or to suit the pose you are you using. For best results with this Dynamic Outfit please refer to the enclosed Tutorial. The following settings have been found to give best results: Collision Offset - 0.500 Collision Depth - 0.500 All the other settings that were used to create the promotional images are "baked" into the .pp2 file. If you wish to experiment with different settings to get different looks then you may find the following information useful: The Neck of the dress is set to constrained on the 2Knit and Chunky versions The Neck of the 4Ply version is set to it's own dynamic group. The Default dynamic group includes the body and sleeves of the garment. The Ribbing Dynamic group will only affect the sleeve cuffs and the hem of the garment. When setting up simulations with this dress I have used the following tips to help get a good simulation time after time: Set the Collision to Victoria 4 and then uncheck the two centre of mass entries towards the end of the bodyparts list. Allow for 35 settling frames after the pose to allow the dress to fall properly on the skirt and sleeves. Do not use any draping frames or you can find the mesh cracks in certain poses. Collide with the floor/ground only if your figure is led down or sat on the floor, you may need to increase cloth density to prevent ripping of the mesh for some poses. As with all things cloth room trial and error can be the key , along with a huge heap of patience. I will try and help with any specific problems you may have in the Cloth Room but I know only a fraction of what it can do. If you have any particular problems or questions then I can be contacted via site mail or at valerian70@cgrealms.com - please allow 24-48 hours for a reply. *PLEASE NOTE* All promotional images are rendered in Poser 7 with a 4blueyes IBL lighting rig. *DAZ STUDIO USERS* As this is a dynamic garment we apologise as it will not work in the current build of Daz Studio (as of 02/07/2008). -------------- Thank you for purchasing this Dynamic Clothing pack by Heidi "Butterfly_Fish" McClure and Marjorie "Valerian70" O'Donnell.
