This was done for a few reasons. For example, you can animate the nose with propeller blades falling off of (or being mounted onto) the airplane fuselage. Also, in the Pose:STURMOVIK folder, you can mix and match fuselage colors with nose/peopeller colors. To alter textures for fuselage and/or nose (with propeller) in the Pose:STURMOVIK folder: 1-Click on the actual airplane figure in your Poser workspace (screen) to select it. 2-Doubleclick on the thumbnail to change texture for body (fuselage) of the airplane. You will notice that this doesn't change the nose/propeller texture. To change it, click on the actual nose/propeller on your screen to select it and then double-click on the thumbnail to apply the matching texture. This has other advantages; if you have, let's say, 10 STURMOVIK airplanes on your screen at once, you can mix and match colors/textures for each fuselage and each nose/propeller independently. The nose/propeller figure has a morph which simulates bent propeller blades during a crash landing. You can also turn the provided "ROTATE" dial knob, to rotate the propeller blades in either direction (or animate them that way). You will notice that also the body itself has additional 29 morphs. This will give you more creative freedom since you can, for example, animate the gear doors opening, without the wheels coming down. Each gear door opens separately and each wheel comes down separately. Each flap/stabilizer is also independently operated. The pilot torso and gunner torso are not removable from the plane. However, there are morphs provided to remove/hide the pilot and/or gunner independently. In fact, several morphs are provided for both pilot and the gunner. You can also put the machinegun in the resting position or completely remove it. You can remove the antenna wire as well. The morphs are also provided for the under wing attachments. You can mount either bomb-carrying attachments or rocket-carrying attachments or remove all of them. For added versatility please choose which armament you want to parent to the aircraft (there are 2 bombs and 8 rockets provided as props). Parent all the props to the aircraft body before you start posing it so the props will move with the body. You can also animate individual bombs/rockets falling (shooting off) of the airplane. When applying morphs to pilot, gunner and gun (machinegun) please note that you can apply only one morph at a time. For example, if you apply "AIM LEFT" and "AIM RIGHT" morphs to the gunner at the same time, some distortion may appear since the gunner can not aim at both sides at once. Also if you apply the "LOOK LEFT" morph and "LOOK RIGHT" morph to the pilot all at once, some head distortions may appear as well. Also please note that the morphs in general work best if applied from range 0 to 1. For example, the maximum extension for the landing gear is at 1 so there is no sense in rotating the morph dial to 5 or 10 since this will distort the morphed part of the airplane. This airplane figure doesn't have bones so the best way to apply morphs is to type in (enter) desired values in the field next to the corresponding dial. For best results, the values entered should be either 0 or 1. Another figure is provided in the character:STURMOVIK folder; The "WARBANNER" figure. It has 3 morphs and, needless to say, you can use it in other (WWII infantry) combat scenes. You can mount your banners on top of buildings. Several buildings are provided as props in addition to the “AIRFIELD WWII" prop. By multiplying control tower, 2 barracks and 3 hangars, you can create an entire military complex. Note that on "BARRACK 2" there are morphs which you can use to open the front door or garage door. The "HANGAR 3" prop has two morphs as well (for front and rear door). Please note that the "AIRFIELD WWII" is really big so you may have to zoom out your camera to view it fully. Happy rendering from ThundeRRenderS!!!
