Thank you for purchasing Candice, a realistic character set
based on Victoria 4.2 by DAZ, for Poser 6, Poser 7 and DAZ
Studio from up Version 1.8.2.1

System Requirements:

PC ONLY
Poser 6 and 7
DAZ Studio (DS) 1.8.2.1. and above
Victoria 4.2 with Morphs++

This product is produced in Poser 7 and tested in Poser 6.

This product is not tested on MACintosh systems. A proper
functionality cannot be guaranteed on MACīs! If it works,
please let me know.

This packages does not work in Poser 4, Poser 5, Poser Pro
Package or Poser Artist!!!

MAT and MOR files of the DS version are created in DS 1.8.2.1
and not tested in older versions of DAZ Studio. DS is free!!!
So, please update to an actual version of DS. I can not
guarantee proper function in older versions.

For useage in DS, please use the special DS files included
in this package. Poser morph files will work, but the
special materials for Poser not.

1 GB minimum and 2 GB recommended in Poser 6 and 7 because
of the high resolutions of Candiceīs texture set.

Needed Files:

DAZ Victoria 4.2 and her morphs++ expansion from DAZ.

DAZ Victoria 4.0, 4.1, 4.2 Base if you want to use the
textures only.

Morphs may work on Victoria 4 and 4.1 but you may not have the
full advantage of the character.

Function for V 4.1 is not (or could not be) tested by my and
cannot be guaranteed!!!!

Caused by the new figure architecture of V 4.2, before using the
morph injectors for Candice, please inject the morph++ package
for Victoria 4.2 from DAZ first.

Installation Instructions:

Poser 6 and 7
------------------

Run Winzip or another Zip-program and copy the folder "Runtime"
of each part of the both zip-archives into your Poser directory.
All files will be placed as shown in the package list below. If
you don't have Winzip, you can get it for free from www.winzip.com

All *.pz2 MAT and MOR files will be found in the "pose" folder
in a folder labeled "V4 Candice". The MORPH poses will inject the
correct Morph targets for Candice, and the MATERIAL poses will
apply their respective textures.

The additional files for the "Material Room" of Poser will be found
in the "Materials" folder in a folder labeled "V4 Candice".

DAZ Studio 1.8.2.1 (DS)
----------

Run Winzip or another Zip-program and copy the folder "content"
into your DS directory. You will find it in the second zip-archive
in a folder called "!For_DAZ-Studio". All files will be placed as
shown in the package list for DS below.

All *.dsb MAT and MOR files will be found in the "people" folder
in a folder labeled "V4 Candice" and in subfolders. The MOR poses
will inject the correct Morph targets for Candice, and the MAT poses
will apply their respective textures.

If you use DS without any Poser installation or if DS is not connected
to any Poser runtime, please copy the complete folder named
"Jojographics/V4_2_Candice", which you will find in the textures folder
from the poser package, into the following DS folder:

content/runtime/textures/....

and/or

Please refer to the DAZ Studio manual how to connect DS to Poser
runtimes if a Poser version is installed. If this is done correctly
and the textures are mainly installed for Poser, DS will find the
images and you wonīt have to install them to DS content folders.

Usage Tips or Limitations:

Candice is developed in Poser 7. All material settings are created
in this version of poser but with an eye on compatibilty for Poser 6.
Textures are made from scratch, partitially handpainted and completed
with parts of the listed merchant resources which I have changed
completely for my needs.

I got the best results in Poser 7. I recommend light sets simulating
global illumination, like B.S.L. lights by AAA3D, the "Radiance Pro
Light System" by Danae available at renderosity or the two Global
Illumination light sets available at DAZ. For IBL illuminations I
recommend the Magic Lights and Soft Lights by Tendom or Retro Devilīs
"LIGHT", also availabe at Renderosity.

For DS users I recommend the special light set from DAZ "Light Dome
Pro" to receive similar effects.

Tips & tricks:
For more realism I recommend the usage of "Occlusion Master" and/or
the "RealSkinShader" by FaceOFF for Poser available at Renderosity.

News from the big strange world of silly Poser behaviours:

On low memory systems with less than 1 GB RAM Poser 6 and 7 sometimes
locks up during rendering. This seems to be a memory problem. In
case of render problems decrease the maxTexture Size in the render
settings or turn off texture filtering!!!! The other way to avoid
this, increase your RAM. Sorry, but working with Poser 6/7 and high
resolution textures with only 1 GB RAM is sometimes extremely awful.

In Poser 7 the mat injectors may (but must not - it happens from
time to time) have effect to extreme figure poses (not morphs). This
is, like in my sets before, no problem of this package, because I checked
the injector scripts line by line in a text editor and there are only
definitions for the material settings, nothing else.
In Poser 6 this problem does not appear. So, please inject material
settings before you begin to pose your figure or save your pose
before you decide to change the mats.
The morph injectors in DAZ Studio affect the pose of the figure too.
So, please inject all morphs for DS before you start to pose or, if
Poser and the Poser version of this package is installed, use the
morph injectors for Poser, which will work in DS too.
