Starship Bridge 3 (Poser & OBJ) Copyright Ownership belongs to RPublishing. This product was originally created by and acquired through VanishingPoint. Directions: Extract the files into the specified folders: Put the obj files into Runtime\Geometries\VP Put the cm2/ png (camera files) into Runtime\Libraries\camera\VP-Bridge3 Put the cr2/ png (figure files) into Runtime\Libraries\Character\VP Put the pz2/ png (pose files) into Runtime\Libraries\Pose\VP-Bridge3 Put the jpg files (textures) into Runtime\Textures\VP\bridge3 Notes: 1) The gif files are not used on the model: they are included in case you want to make your own textures. Using the figure: 1) Start Poser. 2) Go to the Figures > VP Library. 3) Add the Bridge3 to your scene. 4) Add people to your scene to suit your taste. 5) Pose the people to suit your taste: either sitting in the chairs or standing or walking. Notes: 1) The Bridge 3 will be added to the center of your scene, already positioned in the proper place. 2) Camera movement through the bridge is very easy and camera files are included -You can use these camera files to render the scene or use them as starting points. -Every camera file automatically hides the wall that may be blocking the shot. For example, a from-the-Security Station camera view will automatically hide the Security Station wall. 3) Hide and show poses are included to hide and show the walls and roof. 4) The chairs are separate body parts which can be rotated, moved, or shown/ hidden to suit the needs of your scene. 5) ERC dials to open and close doors and move chairs are located on the BODY part. 6) If you want to make your own displays, be sure to follow the angle-lines of the templates: although your texture may look angled, it will render as a straight line. 7) Depending on your light set, you may want to hide the Ceiling so you don't block the lights or create dark shadows. If there are any chairs in the camera's viewing angle, hide it (the chair, not the camera): 1) Click on the chair. 2) Go to the Parameter Dials palette or the Object menu > Properties or press Ctrl+I. 3) Click the "Visible" checkbox to uncheck it to hide the chair. Click it again (checkbox is checked) to show the chair. The "Viewscreen" and "Rear Display" materials use "maximized" mapping, meaning that you can use any image your like. Though keep an eye out for any stretching. To prevent stretching, try to use image maps which use the same proportions as the templates: Viewscreen: 1082 wide by 560 tall Rear Display: 880 wide by 300 tall For best results, be sure to use the FireFly Renderer with at least 4 ray-traced bounces. Hint: Depending on your light set, you may get better results by rotating or moving the Bridge (by using the Hull or BODY) rather than moving the camera. If there are any people in your scene, be sure to rotate the people as well. Usage License: You are completely free to use this figure in any commercial or non-commercial render, image, or animation. You may NOT sell or give away any files found in this zip package without express permission. You are free to use the enclosed template files to make your own textures.
