NOTE to users of pre-5 Poser versions: Soulbringer package takes advantage of P5 and higher folder structure, in order for the files to display correctly in previous versions you will need to move them to the main folder/directory. NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS -IMPORANT - READ-: - Load Victoria 4 and load the clothes, conform the clothes and use the V4 magnet fit on the clothes to add the JCM magnets/morphs to them. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you have VICTORIA 4 SELECTED before loading each piece of clothing in order for the various JCM morphs to work. - ALWAYS USE THE MORPHS in the BODY part of any piece of clothing, not in the single body parts (such as shin, shoulder etc.), always SET the MORPHS on the BODY. - There are several helpful morphs for the various clothing pieces to help with poke-through and similar issues (especially with Alice and other custom characters). If you run into any poke-through please remember to check and use these morphs or, in case they are not enough, use custom Poser magnets. - There are a few pieces that are PROPS parented to a reference figure, namely Shoulder pads (parented to the strap figure), Feet Covers Armors (parented to the shoes) and Forearm armors (parented to the leather gloves). Remember that props behave differently than figures. They do follow the figure movement but not as good as figures do (but this is also why they DO NOT DISTORT and keep their shape) moreover it is very easy to fix any poke-through issue and to move them because you can directly use the x/y/z-tran or rotate dials of the props (or any other dial available for them). Just select the prop and use the available dial to move it as you wish. In case you can also just delete them but we suggest to use the Hide Dials/poses instead in case you change your mind later on. Also remember that MAT poses do not directly work on props (as it is for hair) so you have to select their reference figure (gloves, shoulder straps or shoes) in order for the MAT poses or hide poses to work properly. The same stands true for the staff, you have to select Victoria before loading the staff and select her again if you want to change the staff style/use the MATs on it/them. - Both the choker and shins have the BEND feature active however this mean that they do distort when the character moves. To avoid excessive distortion you can UNCHECK the bend feature (object properties) and then (in case it needs any editing) adjust it with the included morphs. - Loins and Skirt bones will show up in your render if you use the Poser 4 render engine. We strongly suggest you should AVOID using the Poser 4 render engine for your final render as the outcome is poor and low quality compared to the Firefly engine. Anyway to avoid the bones show up (it's a Poser unavoidable issue) just use the Bones OFF poses included in the package and the ON to have them show up again in your working window. The package also includes several other poses to have the bones show as "edges", "full" to hide and zero them. - Also NOTE that the skirt morphs were created with Victoria in Zeroed position so when she is posed you'll probably need to tweak the movements through the bones or other movements to match your pose. REMEMBER to never just grab a BONE and move it around but rather, select it and then use the available DIALS to move it as you wish. - The pantie is supposed to be used with the skirt only as it doesn't make much sense on it's own, however you may be able to match it with other pieces or maybe use for front shots only! - The belt chain is easy poseable, just play a bit with it to get used, once you understand how the dials work you'll be able to move it as you wish! - TEXTURES: both bodice and belt textures have some dirty on them corresponding to the harness straps, this was done to add realism, however since you can also use the pieces independently and with no straps we also included clean textures that can be used when you use the skirt without the bodice or hide the straps on the bodice. In the folder "AS-Soulbringer/Clothes MATs" you'll find some "No Straps" MATs for both belt and bodice. These are easy to recognize as they sport a few red or white circles that match the missing dirty spots. Remember to use these MATs when you use the skirt alone or hide the straps from the bodice. - If you want to use Alice INJect the morph into V4 and set the Alice fitting morphs to 1 for each piece of clothing. Alice shape is very different from V4 default one, this means some poke-through may happen more easily, simply use the included morphs to correct it when it happens or custom magnets, you should also check Alice fix morphs because she has several that are useful to adjust poke-through (for example for the front thighs when the legs are bent, Soulbringer fits Alice 2.0 just redownload her from your account history page on Renderosity if you haven't done it yet) - Soulbringer material files are optimized for Poser 7 (that is 5 and above), the clothes include a material shader that may need tweaking in previous versions. - The Zero morph poses zeroes all movement morph, not the special effect morphs like longer, short etc. _________________________ INJECT morphs Soulbringer package includes two INJ files to add a push-up style breast morph to Victoria 4 or Alice. Please, note that the INJ files work on your character only, you have to manually set the corresponding morph on the bodice (-AliceBrstUP or V4_BrstUp). Of course if you choose to use the AliceCrstUP morph you'll have to set the standard -Alice morph to 0, they're not complimentary. _________________________ _________________________ Hide Morphs (a nice feature to speed up your scene!) Rather than including MATs to make some parts of the clothing disappear by becoming transparent we included HIDE morphs for the various clothing/mesh parts. This make the clothing much more versatile as you can easily customize them and create your own style, moreover: - rendering times are much faster. By making clothing parts transparent the render slows considerably down because transparencies are very "heavy" on 3D tools resources. By using the hide morphs you totally avoid this drawback. - you don't need to reapply the textures via the MATs or the material room, in fact the hidden parts will keep all shader/texture information, once you reset the hidden morph to 0 the piece of clothing part will render perfectly with no further tweaking needed. - to make sure the hide pose work correctly always select the reference figure when there are armor props attached (leather glove for the glove part, metal shoe for the shoe part) _________________________ ******************** RENDERING TIPS ******************** IMPORTANT: always remember that the final outcome heavily depends on your lighting and render settings. To P5/P6/P7 users we strongly reccomend the use of the Firefly engine for your final renders, as the result are far better than with the P4 and because it exploits the shaders included in the package; it is also more precise by and large and allows the use of other important features such as raytracing and displacement maps. We also suggest to not use Auto settings but custom Manual ones, for a good outcome of any texture (clothes, skin, hair): - the min shading rate should be set to anything near 0.2 - the pixel sample should be set to at least 6 - the irradiance caching should be set to anything between 75% and 100% (the higher the better) - always leave the USE DISPLACEMENT MAPS CHECKED - always check both the cast shadows and raytracing boxes. ******************** RENDERING TIPS ******************** This product was NOT TESTED IN DAZ Studio, we do not support DAZ Studio at the moment therefore cannot assist with it, some features may not work so if you only use D|S be aware of this and that the product may not be fully compatible (jewels and staff light effect are Poser materials only).
