NOTE to users of pre-5 Poser versions: Mistress' Charm package takes advantage of P5 and higher folder structure, in order for the files to display correctly in previous versions you will need to move them to the main folder/directory. Mistress' Charm's TUTORIALs: http://www.aerysoul.com/board/showthread.php?t=3173 NOTES/INSTRUCTIONS -IMPORANT - READ-: - Load Victoria 4 and load the clothes, conform the clothes and use the V4 magnet fit on the clothes to add the JCM magnets/morphs to them. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you have VICTORIA 4 SELECTED before loading each piece of clothing in order for the various JCM morphs to work. - ALWAYS USE THE MORPHS in the BODY part of any piece of clothing, not in the single body parts (such as shin, shoulder etc.), always SET the MORPHS on the BODY. - The package includes a "Mistress" morph for both Victoria 4 and Alice for a more curcy bodyshape: remember you have to set the corresponding fitting morphs on the clothes if you inject and use them (dress, mantle, pantie). - There are several helpful morphs for the various clothing pieces to help with poke-through (when the legs bend for example), sitting and similar cases (especially with Alice and other custom characters). If you run into any poke-through please remember to check and use these morphs or, in case they are not enough, use custom Poser magnets. - When you use the Open morph or other similar morphs for the dress some poke-through may happen depending on the pose or on the other morphs you have active (all morphs were created with default V4 in zero position), use the helper morphs to get rid of this poke-through and to move the dress breast/abdomen area forward, the same it's true for the mantle shoulders. - The back Mantle makes use of Easy-pose technology. It is very easy to move and pose it just as you wish, you only need little practice (in case you don't know already how easy-pose works) to find out what the dials do and to move it to fit your images/poses. However some preset movements are included to get you started and for quick posing. Note: the mantle is a figure so once you pose it you can save the movement you created in the poses section of Poser (remember you have to check the "Morph Channel" information to be saves as the movements are morphs)! - The necklace makes use of the Easy-Pose technology too for ease of use. - If you want to use Alice INJect the morph into V4 and set the Alice fitting morphs to 1 for each piece of clothing. Alice shape is very different from V4 default one, this means some poke-through may happen more easily, simply use the included morphs to correct it when it happens or custom magnets, you should also check Alice fix morphs because she has several that are useful to adjust poke-through (for example for the front thighs when the legs are bent, Mistress Charm fits Alice 2.0 just redownload her from your account history page on Renderosity if you haven't done it yet). If you decide to inject and use Alice Mistress morph you have to set the "Alice Mistress" morph to 1 on the clothes (Bodice, Mantle and Pantie) rather than the "Alice" morph. - Mistress' Charm material files are optimized for Poser 7 (that is 5 and above), the clothes include a material shader that may need tweaking in previous versions and/or in DAZ Studio (metals are mostly Poser nodes although a reflection is included). ******************** RENDERING TIPS ******************** IMPORTANT: always remember that the final outcome heavily depends on your lighting and render settings. To P5/P6/P7 users we strongly reccomend the use of the Firefly engine for your final renders, as the result are far better than with the P4 and because it exploits the shaders included in the package; it is also more precise by and large and allows the use of other important features such as raytracing and displacement maps. We also suggest to not use Auto settings but custom Manual ones, for a good outcome of any texture (clothes, skin, hair): - the min shading rate should be set to anything near 0.2 - the pixel sample should be set to at least 6 - the irradiance caching should be set to anything between 75% and 100% (the higher the better) - always leave the USE DISPLACEMENT MAPS CHECKED - always check both the cast shadows and raytracing boxes. ******************** RENDERING TIPS ******************** This product was NOT TESTED IN DAZ Studio, we do not support DAZ Studio at the moment therefore cannot assist with it, some features may not work so if you only use D|S be aware of this and that the product may not be fully compatible (OloSquares and light effects are Poser materials only).
