Unpack the *.zip files you downloaded 2. copy or move the "runtime" folder to your poser directory 3. When asked if you would like to overwrite files, click "yes to all" and you're done. ****************************** WHERE TO FIND"Satomi" in Poser: figures -->Joe Bushido -->Satomi -This folder contains The Bodice, Gloves, Hair and Fans poses -->Joe Bushido -->Satomi -This is the root folder for Satomi, in here you will find the character inject and remove options and the utility poses for her hands and arms. poses -->Joe Bushido -->Satomi -->material INJ -This is the root folder for all the texture options, in here is the body material (body MAT INJ) and all the make-up and kabuki warrior masks props -->Joe Bushido -->Satomi -This is where Satomis dynamic clothing items are held (the shall and skirt). Please read on for tips on how to get the best results ****************************** USAGE INSTRUCTIONS/TIPS: Loading Satomi's body: -Load Poser and load Victoria 4 -in your library, browse to Poses-->Joe Bushido -->Satomi and double-click "AkikoBodyINJ" to inject the character morphs -Browse to Poses-->Joe Bushido-->Material INJ and double-click "Body MAT INJ" to load Satomi's custom material. Her material is high-rez (4000x4000) with some nice shading and bump mapping for close-ups, but you can use any other material if you wish. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loading Satomi's conforming clothing: -Browse to Figures-->Joe Bushido -->Satomi and double click the "Bodice" item. -Go to figure-->conform to... and pick "victoria 4" in the pop-up menu. -IMPORTANT: Make sure you have Victoria 4 selected before loading any more figures -Once you have all the figures loaded and conformed, try bending V4's fore-arm. If her arm pokes through the gloves, then delete the gloves from the scene, select "vitoria 4", re-load the gloves and conform them. If someone knows how to fix this particular bug, PLEASE let me know! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loading Satomi's clothing props: -Browse to props-->Joe Bushido -->Satomi and you will see her dynamic clothing props -double-click each item to load into the scene. Each prop is pre-set to know which body-part will control its movement, which is why their called "smart-props". So you don't have to worry about changing the parent for each item. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- how to set up the Dynamic clothing props: for this example, we'll begin with the "SHALL" prop -select the Shall and go into the cloth-room. -simply click on "clothify" and pick the Shall. -now click on "colide against" then "Add/Remove" and make sure the check-box next to victoria 4, Satomi Bodice, and Satomi Gloves has an "X" in it, (which means it's selected) and click OK. You may also wish to add the two fans as well, but you don't have to. Just know that you can. -now you may also want to check "ignore head, hand, and feet collisions", but this is optional. Click "ok" to return to the cloth room. -You may also check "edit constrained groups" in the bottom-left of the room to make sure the groups are properly set up. If they are, then the parts of the shall that cover her breasts, and the parts that go under the glove will be covered in red dots. This allows the Shall to bend and flex properly with the model without falling off her body. Click "ok" and you're done. -You can go ahead and calculate the simulation now. Sometimes the shall will colide with the skirt, and if the skirt hasn't been calculated, then you might get some ugly results. If this happens, you can go back into your "collide against..." menu, find the skirt in the drop-down menu and de-select it. -The process is identical for the skirt, though you only need it to collide with "Victoria 4" and "Satomi Bodice" - I've optimizied the geometry as much as possible for the dynamics, so the entire calculation process shouldn't take very long, depending on your system specs. I find it takes roughly 2 or 3 minutes total on my computer with a 30 frame animation. Continue reading for the best way to use the dynamics. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips for getting the best results while posing. - once you return to the pose room, the first thing you should do is set the frame-slider to frame 30 before you load any library pose. -once you are sure you are on frame 30, select Victoria 4 and load the pose of your choice, or pose her manually yourself. -the dynamic items will move with Satomi, but will NOT conform and flex, because you haven't done the calculation yet. -I've included some utility poses that I used myself during development, and found VERY handy! They should be pretty self-explanitory, and allow for a lot of flexibilty when using library poses, especially the "reser arm" poses -Once you're happy with the pose you've constructed, and you're sure the pose is on a later frame of animation, and the first frame of animation is the default pose, then you can go ahead and calculate the cloth. -it may look like her body-parts are passing through her clothes while the simulation is calculating, don't worry about that, it's normal. nine-times out of ten, the cloth will be fine once the simulation is complete, if it's not, then double-check your cloth settings and try again. -if all is good, you may now render your image or animation or whatever you wish.
