*Product Name: UltimateFIRE_PrimalFLAMES For Bryce *Copyright: October 08 *By: romanceworks (Carol Cavalaris) *Contact: Site mail or carolcavalaris@hotmail.com www.romanceworks.com ************************************************************ Product Description: THE HEAT IS ON! UltimateFIRE_PrimalFLAMES has been modiFied to work in Bryce to create realistic fire effects. This pack delivers over two dozen brand new UltimateFIRE props, including fire rings, volcanic eruptions, ceremonial torches, sacrificial pyers, spirit fires, glowing skulls, and much more, all designed to bring excitement and professional quality fire effects to your artwork. UF_PrimalFLAMES For Bryce contains: 24 Fire Props 4 Glowing Crystal Skulls 12 Volcanic, Fiery Backgrounds How to use UF_PrimalFLAMES in Bryce: The PrimalFlames are 2D alpha plane faces with high-resolution textures applied to them. With the inclusion of trans maps -also high resolution- the illusion of a 3D fire effect is achieved. For further info regarding 2D images on planes and 2D faces ref. to the Bryce manual. The PrimalFlames functions best on minimal rotational degrees; ‘Up to around -+30 deg. Y rotation’ Too much rotation will cause the object to become less attractive and less 3D in appearance. Maintaining a flat view on the object has the best result. When the PrimalFlames are loaded via the Obp. library it loads with all the textures applied. The PrimalFlames already has a texture loaded into the transparency image editor and therefore the flames only are visible, even though the transparency dial is set to 0. By moving the transparency dial up in value will make the PrimalFlame become even more invisible. Diffuse, ambience levels and colours can be altered and changed to produce many coloured versions for the PrimalFlames, this adds versatility and you can also create different environments through this manner, by experimenting. Example: creating an acid environment add green to the ambience, volume etc. colour channels and increase the values to your requirements. Different base/shader colours will produce different coloured flames. Once installed the textures on the Flames can be turned into Bryce materials to be used on other surfaces as well. 'Ref. Bryce manual for instructions on materials'! Although most sky settings can be used, the darker the sky the more volumetric in appearance the Flames will be. Same applies to the lights, too bright settings will produce watered down results. Also for environment effects coloured lights e.g. yellow and orange will produce a warmer mood. When multiple Primalflames are used in one scene cast shadows should be turned off to void flat looking shadows casts on the Flames from the other flames in the scene. You can increase or decrease the scaling as with any other Bryce obp. The PrimalFlames works in all Bryce environments and can be used with other props as well. -------------------------------------- System Requirements: FireProps: Bryce 6 and Bryce 6.1 Volcanic Backgrounds are Hi-res jpeg format 2800x1800 @300 dpi, and can be used in any graphics program that accepts jpegs. UF_PrimalFLAMES works on PC and MAC. -------------------------------------- Ownership Statement: All of the content in this package was created by romanceworks (Carol Cavalaris), from personal photographs, painted images, special effects, as well as some photos from my Superstock library. -------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Installation Unzip the contents and copy paste the folders 'PrimalFlames 1' and 'PrimalFlames 2' directly into the Bryce objects library folder where all your Bryce objects are stored Program files/Daz/Bryce/Presets/Objects=PrimalFlames 1 and PrimalFlames 2 The Volcanic eruption folder is located in the PrimalFlame p2 folder and can be placed where ever you like or where you keep your backgrounds. Launch Bryce and go to create. Select a PrimalFlame folder. The Flames in that folder will appear. Load the Flames as you require. Known issues; When a lot of PrimalFlame props are loaded into the same scene, Bryce will not always allow you to delete a certain selected PrimalFlame prop.Instead many props might end up being deleted along with the selected prop. If this happens, simply perform an undo function to get al the deleted props back into the scene. Then select the prop you want to remove and perform a ‘cut’ operation. This will remove only the selected prop. Usage Tips/Limitations: You may use UltimateFIRE_PrimalFLAMES for your personal or commercial artwork or projects.
