Our models feature user friendly features, such as dials for geometry or texture options. Users can easily view combinations and options without having to locate matching textures through a complicated Poser directory structure. All of our products are scaled to work seamlessly together and are consistent with general real world dimensions. Color schemes for the textures were designed in families providing users with packages that can build upon each other. Gone is the frustration of buying a set of textures that matches nothing else in your collection! New collections are added to our online catalog every 1-2 weeks and can be purchased at: Castle Development Group Turbo Squid Renderosity 3DCommune --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Files list: The CastleDev Egyptian Column Pack 1 contains seven different columns from Egyptian temples. This includes a 10 foot high square column, and six 33 foot high decorated round columns. Column CDCL33F is decorated with the head of Hathor, the ancient Egyptian goddess of love, mirth, beauty, and fertility. Default sandstone texture and bump maps are supplied with the Egyptian Column Pack. Additional column textures are available from the Castle Development Group. Texture map templates are provided, for making your own column textures. The main template, which covers the complete column, is named with the column's name plus a "T". For example, the texture map for column CDCL10A is CDCL10AT.jpg. Two additional templates are included for each of the round columns: a map for the stem of the column only, with a name that ends in "ATS", and a map for the rest of the column, with a name that ends in "ATR". For example, the three maps for the CDCL33B column are CDCL33BT.jpg, CDCL33BTR.jpg, CDCL33BTS.jpg. The reason for having separate maps for the stem and the rest of the columns is that the tops of the columns tend to be mostly the same, with the main variation between columns being the decoration of the stem. So a single map can be made for a particular column style, then several stem maps made to get variations in the look of the column. Also, stem maps are interchangeable between columns CDCL33A, CDCL33B, CDCL33C, CDCL33D, and CDCL33E. The Hathor head column, CDCL33F, has a different stem geometry, so it cannot share stem maps with the other columns. The texture and bump map templates can be found in the Runtime\templates\CastleDev\Columns subdirectory under the Poser4 directory. The PNG, PP2, and RSR files can be found in the Runtime\libraries\props\CastleDev-Columns subdirectory under the Poser4 directory. The OBJ files can be found in the Runtime\Geometries\CastleDev\Architecture\Columns subdirectory under the Poser4 directory. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Installation Instructions: Extract the files to your Poser directory. They should appear under the appropriate CastleDev Subdirectory listed in the previous section. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Usage: Once the files have been installed into the Poser directories, you will find the props under the Props/CastleDev tab in the Poser library menu. You can bring them into your Poser scene in the same manner that you would any other Poser prop. The default texture and bump maps for the columns are dark stone, EgyptianT3.jpg and EgyptianB3.jpg. For a lighter stone look, you can use the alternate texture and bump maps, EgyptianT2.jpg and EgyptianB2.jpg. Please see the License Agreement for any questions regarding how and where these files may be used. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tips and Tricks: There is a consistent naming convention throughout the Castle Development Group series of Poser related products. We have tried to provide the simplest method possible for users to locate and identify our files as possible. All CastleDev files start with the letters "CD". The next 2 letter identify what type of element the file is associated with, such as MW for Multi-Wall. The numbers which follow designate the dimension of the wall - 0816, being 8 ft by 16 ft. This is followed by an sequence reference and in the case of Texture or Bump maps T1... or B1... There for CDMF1616M1T26 could be read as "Castle Dev Multi-Floor size 16x16 texture number 26". Enjoy!
