The main 'content' folder, containing the 'Runtime' and 'Shader Presets' folders should be extracted to your default Daz Studio program folder, usually "C:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\". You can then find the shader settings in your content pane under 'Studio\Shader Presets\Calida\Shine'. -------------------------------------- Usage Tips or Limitations: **These shader presets require that you already have the 'Human Surface Shader' from Daz already installed in Studio. They add features that are necessary for the shaders to display correctly.** To apply to a material, first you must select the object which the material belongs to in the 'scene' tab/pane. Then in the 'Surface' tab/pane select the materials on the object that you want the shader on, then double click on the shader in your contents tab/pane to apply it. Also, refer to the more in-depth help-file included with the product, 'ShineDSHelp.pdf'. We find that these shaders are most effective when there is some level of IBL lighting in the scene. As always, shaders only work properly in Daz Studio during 3Delight renders. A word about reflections with these textures: We have included utility files to add both ray traced reflections and imaged based reflections. However, these shaders are all based on textures and in some cases this tends to make reflections less effective. If you want reflections you're going to get by far the best effects from the ray traced reflections, however ray traced reflections can and often will add dramatically to your render times. To use the reflection files click the icon of your choice (under the subfolder 'Shine Utility Files' after you apply your main shader preset. You may in some instances find the bump settings lower than you would like.
