Thank you for buying my Beach Collection for Victoria 4 and Aiko 4, I really that hope you enjoy using it. Each costume uses a separate mesh and (mostly) individual textures. The Wetsuit uses a separate mesh for Aiko and Victoria Although I have extensively tested the outfits on a multitude of poses, you may find there are still one or two poses that the outfit does not agree with. I often find this can be due to the limits being turned off with and Victoria’s limbs twisted and bent beyond natural limits. Switching on limits can go a long way to solving poke through or bending problems. Also try using the MAGNETIZE FUNCTION. I find that you barely need the morph channels when using this. Also, when using the Wetsuit try turning off the shoulders and collars in the Hierarchy drop down menu to totally eliminate poke through in these areas. 2.The outfits require Victoria 4/Aiko 4 and Poser version 5 or higher. It was produced on Poser V7 The meshes incidentally are quite high res (around 10,000 polygons) so don't expect miracles on an old system. 3.Installation ************** The outfits come as a self extracting winzip archive. double click on it and browse to your 'Poser' folder. Click on 'unzip' and the files should extract to their correct subfolders. Manually they go here: 1.Open windows Explorer. 2. Scroll down to the program files folder and double click it open. 3. Look for Poser in either ‘Curious Labs’ or ‘e frontier’ or ‘Smith Micro’ folder and open that too. 4. You should be presented with the Poser folder...open that too! 5. Now just put the following files in each of the sub folders The zip file contains the following Runtime\Wetsuit-readme\ benten-wetsuit-readme.txt Runtime\Textures\Benten-wetsuit\ A4Greybelt.jpg A4beltblack.jpg A4beltblue.jpg A4beltgold.jpg A4beltgrey.jpg A4beltlilac.jpg A4beltred.jpg V4Belt.jpg V4Beltblue.jpg V4Beltgrey.jpg V4Beltlilac.jpg V4Beltred.jpg V4Blackbelt.jpg V4texbelt.jpg aiko-black.jpg aiko-blue.jpg aiko-bump.jpg aiko-grey.jpg aiko-lilac.jpg aiko-red.jpg aiko-template.jpg cloth1.jpg grid.jpg metal1.jpg reflect.jpg victoria4-template.jpg wetsuit-black.jpg wetsuit-blue.jpg wetsuit-bump.jpg wetsuit-grey.jpg wetsuit-lilac.jpg wetsuit-red.jpg wetsuit-sky.jpg Runtime\Textures\Benten Bikini\ aquabra.jpg aquapanty.jpg bra-chocchip.jpg bra-geo.jpg bra-kaleido.jpg geopanty.jpg pantie-kaleido.jpg panty-chochip.jpg Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Benten Wetsuit\ A4Blackbelt.png A4Blackbelt.pz2 A4Blackbelt.rsr A4Bluebelt.png A4Bluebelt.pz2 A4Bluebelt.rsr A4Goldbelt.png A4Goldbelt.pz2 A4Goldbelt.rsr A4Greybelt.png A4Greybelt.pz2 A4Greybelt.rsr A4Lilacbelt.png A4Lilacbelt.pz2 A4Lilacbelt.rsr A4Redbelt.png A4Redbelt.pz2 A4Redbelt.rsr Aiko-Lilac.pct Aiko-Lilac.png Aiko-Lilac.pz2 Aiko-Lilac.rsr Aiko-black.png Aiko-black.pz2 Aiko-black.rsr Aiko-blue.png Aiko-blue.pz2 Aiko-blue.rsr Aiko-grey.png Aiko-grey.pz2 Aiko-grey.rsr Aiko-red.png Aiko-red.pz2 Aiko-red.rsr V4-Black.png V4-Black.pz2 V4-Black.rsr V4-Blue.png V4-Blue.pz2 V4-Blue.rsr V4-Grey.png V4-Grey.pz2 V4-Grey.rsr V4-Lilac.png V4-Lilac.rsr V4-lilac.pz2 V4-red.png V4-red.pz2 V4-red.rsr V4Beltgrey.png V4Beltgrey.pz2 V4Beltgrey.rsr V4Blackbelt.png V4Blackbelt.pz2 V4Blackbelt.rsr V4Bluebelt.png V4Bluebelt.pz2 V4Bluebelt.rsr V4Goldbelt.png V4Goldbelt.pz2 V4Goldbelt.rsr V4Lilacbelt.png V4Lilacbelt.pz2 V4Lilacbelt.rsr V4bluegold.png V4bluegold.pz2 V4bluegold.rsr V4redbelt.png V4redbelt.pz2 V4redbelt.rsr Runtime\Libraries\Pose\Benten Bikini\ Black Bra.png Black Bra.pz2 Black Bra.rsr Black Briefs.png Black Briefs.pz2 Black Briefs.rsr Bra-Chocchip.rsr Bra-Geometric.rsr Bra-Kaleido.rsr Panty-Aqua.rsr Panty-Geo.rsr bra-aquastripe.png bra-aquastripe.pz2 bra-aquastripe.rsr bra-chocchip.png bra-chocchip.pz2 bra-geometric.png bra-geometric.pz2 bra-kaleido.png bra-kaleido.pz2 panty-aqua.png panty-aqua.pz2 panty-chochip.png panty-chochip.pz2 panty-chochip.rsr panty-geo.png panty-geo.pz2 panty-kaleido.png panty-kaleido.pz2 panty-kaleido.rsr Runtime\Libraries\Character\Benten-Wetsuit\ Aiko Belt.cr2 Aiko Belt.png Aiko Wetsuit.cr2 Aiko Wetsuit.png Bikini briefs.cr2 Bikini briefs.png Bikini top.cr2 Bikini top.png V4 Belt.cr2 V4 Belt.png Victoria Wetsuit.cr2 Victoria Wetsuit.png WetsuitV4.cr2 Runtime\Geometries\benten wetsuit\ Aiko Belt.obj Aiko Wetsuit.obj Belt.obj Bikini briefs.obj Bikini top.obj V4wetsuit.obj 4.Posing ********** The outfits conform quite readily to Victoria 4 or Aiko 4 with very little poke through or distortion. There are 2 main areas where you might require the morphs though. Under the pose drop down menu the textures are separated into 2 folders...Benten Wetsuit and Benten Bikini Poke through around the breast area often occurs during posing and there are a number of morph dials dedicated to that area. You can find them either under the chest or body part. I have combined most morphs into Full Body Morphs though. When posing the first thing you notice is that the groin area does not conform well. All you need to do is go to the outfits right and left thighs under the preview window menu and twiddle them about. try setting the twist back to zero for starters and then use the bend and side to side dials. Finally the morphs under the hip dials can help enormously. As I have said though, if you use the 'MAGNETIZE'feature poke through is virtually elliminated, although the outfit does tend to cling sometimes unnaturally. There are 'cleavage' morphs on the affected outfits to fix that though. there are individual body morphs under the body parts menu as well as full body morphs available only under the body menu. Magnetizing also tends to give the poor victoria a bit of a 'wedgie' around the buttock crease so use the function with care depending on your pose. Besides which there are ample morphs available around the hip area to compensate without requiring magnetizing. Thigh Area Distortion around the thigh area can usually be adequately compensated for by using the standard 'bend' and 'side to side' dials under the left and right thigh outfit parts. Try setting the twist, bend and side dials back to nought after posing and going from there. I find that you only need to adjust the bend and side dials to get a good shape around the groin area. Coupled with the Morph Dials you shouldnt have a problem. One of my principles is to try to produce clothing that does not require a thousand and one morph dials and time consuming fiddling to get it to work. To conform the outfits for stand up poses you will find that most can be achieved by using the Thigh dials such as bend and side-to-side. Unfortunately sitting down is as much of a problem for V4 as it was for V3. The problems are due to the underlying bone structure of Victoria, you can't win em all! the Bikini Meshes are univeral for V4 and Aiko4. If you load Aiko4 and then the bikini go to the body menu on the preview window and dial in the required morph. Eg: load Aiko4 and transform her to say Aiko Stylized. Load the bikini, go to the body menu as before and dial in the Aiko stylized morph dial to fit the figure. The wetsuit comes as separate meshes for A4 and V4 ( I did this as the quality works out better!). The wetsuit loads as the Aiko4 Basic shape and should fit straight on to Aiko. As before just dial in the morph dial to fit your particular Aiko preference. To conform to Aiko 4 first load Aiko 4, then load the outfit and conform it to Aiko. oops! it doesn't fit. Go to the bodymenu and dial, you will notice the Aiko 4 Parameter Dials appear, just dial in the appropriate morph for your Aiko and there you go. Dont forget to dial the standard loaded Aiko 4 dial back to zero before dialing in another variation. 5. Full Body Morphs Most of the figure group morph dials are mirrored under the 'body' menu, particularly the chest area morphs. The prefix of 'fbm' before a morph denotes that morph as a full body morph. This combines up to 3 other individual morphs into one. So ignore the individual morphs that begin with FBM (those under the figure body parts) and use the Full body morphs under the figure body menu whenever available. 6. Textures and Bump Maps I have not used many bump maps. In the 'textures folder there’s separate bumps for Aiko and Victorias Wetsuit really just for the Arms. Theres also a texture called ‘cloth1’ which I’ve used to give a little texture to the outfits rather than have them supersmooth. In the 'Pose' library under Benten wetsuit and Benten Bikini (The name incidentally is from an anime trilogy called Oedo 808) you will find all of the textures and colours, nearly all are dedicated to individual outfits. Just click on them to apply or go to materials and mix and match. While we're on the subject. I have noticed that the textures can vary considerably depending on your monitor so please feel free to mess around with them (the textures) to your heart’s content. Oh yes I have also put in copies of the meshes so you can make up your own designs. Sorry to go on but I have had the odd bit of negative feedback from folk who cannot be bothered to read a help file. Thank you and Enjoy Graham
