-dp- presents: 'Wire Style'

'Wire Style' is a set of 20 Photoshop layer styles for creating various rusty, gold, copper, smooth and textured lines (frames, thinner objects) made for 300 dpi images.

CONTENTS OF THE PACKAGE:

- WireStylePromo01.jpg
- WireStylePromo02.jpg
- WireStylePromo03.jpg

- dpWireStyle.ASL

- Licence.txt
- WireStyleReadme.txt

INSTALLATION:

You will need an unzipping program (such as WinZip, or you can use WindowsXP's unzipping ability). Unzip the files and place them in a folder of your choice. Then copy the file 'dpWireStyle.asl' to your Photoshop styles' Windows directory (usually C:/Program Files/Adobe Photoshop/Presets/Styles).

USAGE TIPS [or better to call it 'a small tutorial' :-)]:

The styles have been made to work best on the 6 to 20px lines. Of course, you can still apply the styles to some larger objects but you will not get this round, wirey look. The two round squares on promos 02 & 03 are made with 8 and 20px lines and the WireStyle has been applied to them just with one click. However, for the smaller ornament in the middle, the layer style has been tweeked a bit (because if you apply a layer style to it as is, you will not get a nice, round, sharp shape). Here is how you can acheive this look:

- Apply a desired style to a small object.
- Oppen your layers style palette.
- In the 'Drop Shadow' settings change the following:
	Distance: 2
	Size: 2
- Inner shadow should be unchecked. If not, uncheck it.
- Bevel and Emboss:
Texture: unchecked (if you like the slightly bumpy look, leave it cheched, but the texture tends to distort the sharpness of smaller objects)
	Technique: Chisel Hard
	Gloss Contour: Cone-Inverted

And that's it!
