Installation instructions: Simply unzip the entire folder into your models folder, could be any where on your 

hard drive.

Once your 3D program is open,simply navigate to and import the .obj file. 

If necessary aim the program at the textures that reside in the same folder.

Put the Max file in your scenes folder, then  Open the same way as any other scene.

 Usage Tips/Limitations


This building is inspired by a model railroad kit I bought about thirty years ago called Bret's Brewery and I have  

wanted to build it in the computer for some time now. The charm of Campbell Scale Models has inspired many 

a model railroader over the last almost fifty years, and continues to produce fine quality wooden models. 


   This model includes the following:

   1 outhouse, 

   1 walkway to the outhouse so your feet don't get muddy in the spring,

   2 benches,

   1 horse trough,

   1 hitching post,

   14 light fixtures,

   1 hand cart,

   16 barrels,

   1 burn barrel,

   2 ladders,

   3 pipes,

   5 chimneys,

   1 attic vent,

   2 stairways,

   1 block and tackle

   15 railroad ties piled up, they can be moved individualy,

   4 rail sections left over from construction, they can be moved individualy,

   3 sections of train track,

   1 train wheel,

   and 2 signs.

   Wagon, eagle, plants, mountains and horse not included.

   I hope you enjoy using this model as much as I did building it.


This model will import into just about any program that allows import of .obj files. I know it 

opens in 

Poser 6 and 7 as well as 

Vue 5 and 6

3D Studio Max 2009 and above. Max file included.

Cinema 4D 8.5 will open it but you will need to point to the materials.

I tried it in Maya 6.0 and 6.5 and it will not open ( due to Vista I think).

Bryce 5 and above

It will import into (demo) Rhino.


This model is UVW mapped to the materials that are included. To replace the maps simply rename your texture 

to the one you want to replace and put it into the folder after renaming the old texture to something like 2.jpg.old
