Full name: Dimorphodon macronyx

Dimorphodon was a genus of medium-sized pterosaur from the Early Jurassic Period (200-180 million years ago).Dimorphodon may be descended from the earlier European pterosaur Peteinosaurus.
  Skull weight was reduced by large cavities.
  Dimorphodon had an adult body length of 1 metre (3.3 ft) long, with a 1.4 meter (4.6 ft) wingspan.
 The tail of Dimorphodon was long, the first five or six vertebras were short and flexible but gradually increased in length and were stiffened by elongated vertebral processes. The end of the tail may have a Rhamphorhynchus-like tail fin, although no soft tissues have been found.
 It probably inhabited coastal regions and had a very varied diet. Its teeth and jaws suggest it was a piscivore (fish eater), although until quite recently it was suggested that it hunted small land animals. Related to the insect-eating anurognathid pterosaurs, Dimorphodon may also have eaten insects.
