#################################### # Japanese Taiko Drums # #################################### Can not sleep, mesh monster will get me. Not really, but it opens the readme with something to say. Taiko means drum, or more correctly wide drum or fat drum. however, through the years it has evolved to represent a particular style of playing these drums, and the performance related to playing them. In this set you will find twelve sizes of drums. these drums measurements are converted from traditional measurements. In a few cases I did round off when the measurement got a bit complicated. For example, the 61cm tall was actually 61.875cm, and the 84cm tall one was 84.375cm. the actual formulae measured their size in radius, then required the height be figured. h=2r+(2r/10x2.5) where h=height and r=radius On to the technical aspect. I decided to make these props. The reason, really? None other than it seemed it would be easier to think of them as props. There are extra mats for the Taiko, found in /textures/ayukawataur/taiko, these can easily be swapped in using the material room. This allows for some minor variety. The same is true for the Skins, which you can make them more dirty, or more clean using the material room, same directory. The Taiko Bachi, or just Bachi for short, are the drumsticks. They were created using actual measurements. There are eight models, rangiong from 15.8mm across and 36.19cm in length (Shime Daiko Short) all the way up to a 28mm across and 47cm long Odaiko Bachi. One, the Miyake, is tapered. At one end it is 31.75mm across. The other end is 34.9mm across. Two additional items of mention. The 61cm short drum comes with its own stand. This stand is parented to the drum. I did this so that it loads in the proper place in relation to the drum itself. However, it may also be manipulated separate of the drum. The important item to remember is, unless you unparent it through the objects menu, or reparent it to some other item, including itself, every time you move the drum, the stand will move with it. This also includes resizing. The stand, is, well, a stand. It opens and closes and can be manipulated. Use the long side to manipulate. It is designed to support the larger Taiko. Created while listening to two audio books. The Dead Zone, and Black Beauty. Jodi Foster was still better. ################### Japanese Taiko Copyright ©2009 ayukawataur (Miyagami Noriko) All of this product's content was created by ayukawataur. # Required Products Poser 5/6/7/Pro/8 ################### # Package Contents (186 Files) Found in ..\ayukawataur readme\ License.txt readme taiko.txt Found in ..\geometries\ayukawataur\taiko\ 01 shime short.obj 02 shime long.obj 03 kumi.obj 04 matsuri.obj 05 nagadou.obj 06 miyake.obj 07 odaiko.obj 2.obj 2_0.obj 2_1.obj 2_2.obj 2_3.obj 2_4.obj 38 cm.obj 38 cm_0.obj 38 cm_1.obj 38 cm_2.obj 38 cm_3.obj 38 cm_4.obj 38 cm_5.obj 38 cm_6.obj 38 cm_7.obj 44 cm.obj 44 cm_0.obj 44 cm_1.obj 44 cm_2.obj 44 cm_3.obj 44 cm_4.obj 44 cm_5.obj 44 cm_6.obj 44 cm_7.obj 45 cm.obj 45 cm_0.obj 45 cm_1.obj 45 cm_2.obj 45 cm_3.obj 45 cm_4.obj 45 cm_5.obj 45 cm_6.obj 45 cm_7.obj 51 cm.obj 51 cm_0.obj 51 cm_1.obj 51 cm_2.obj 51 cm_3.obj 51 cm_4.obj 51 cm_5.obj 51 cm_6.obj 51 cm_7.obj 56 cm.obj 56 cm_0.obj 56 cm_1.obj 56 cm_2.obj 56 cm_3.obj 56 cm_4.obj 56 cm_5.obj 56 cm_6.obj 56 cm_7.obj 61 cm.obj 61 cm_0.obj 61 cm_1.obj 61 cm_2.obj 61 cm_3.obj 61 cm_4.obj 61 cm_5.obj 61 cm_6.obj 61 cm_7.obj 61cm short.obj 61cm short_0.obj 61cm short_1.obj 61cm short_2.obj 61cm short_3.obj 61cm short_4.obj 61cm short_5.obj 61cm short_6.obj 61cm short_7.obj 61cm short_8.obj 70 cm.obj 70 cm_0.obj 70 cm_1.obj 70 cm_2.obj 70 cm_3.obj 70 cm_4.obj 70 cm_5.obj 70 cm_6.obj 70 cm_7.obj 74 cm.obj 74 cm_0.obj 74 cm_1.obj 74 cm_2.obj 74 cm_3.obj 74 cm_4.obj 74 cm_5.obj 74 cm_6.obj 74 cm_7.obj 79 cm.obj 79 cm_0.obj 79 cm_1.obj 79 cm_2.obj 79 cm_3.obj 79 cm_4.obj 79 cm_5.obj 79 cm_6.obj 79 cm_7.obj 84 cm.obj 84 cm_0.obj 84 cm_1.obj 84 cm_2.obj 84 cm_3.obj 84 cm_4.obj 84 cm_5.obj 84 cm_6.obj 84 cm_7.obj stand.obj stand_0.obj Found in ..\libraries\props\ayukawataur\! taiko\ 0 taiko.png 00 taiko 38cm.png 00 taiko 38cm.pp2 00 taiko 41cm.png 00 taiko 41cm.pp2 00 taiko 45cm.png 00 taiko 45cm.pp2 00 taiko 51cm.png 00 taiko 51cm.pp2 00 taiko 56cm.png 00 taiko 56cm.pp2 00 taiko 61cm short.png 00 taiko 61cm short.pp2 00 taiko 61cm.png 00 taiko 61cm.pp2 00 taiko 70cm.png 00 taiko 70cm.pp2 00 taiko 74cm.png 00 taiko 74cm.pp2 00 taiko 79cm.png 00 taiko 79cm.pp2 00 taiko 84cm.png 00 taiko 84cm.pp2 00 taiko bonus.png 00 taiko bonus.pp2 01 bachi.png 01 shime short.png 01 shime short.pp2 02 shime long.png 02 shime long.pp2 03 kumi.png 03 kumi.pp2 04 matsuri.png 04 matsuri.pp2 05a nagadou.png 05a nagadou.pp2 05b nagadou.png 05b nagadou.pp2 06 miyake.png 06 miyake.pp2 07 odaiko.png 07 odaiko.pp2 taiko stand.png taiko stand_.png taiko stand_.pp2 ..\textures\ayukawataur\taiko\ 2_4_stand.png barrel_short_mat_p.png barrel_short_mat_q.png barrel_short_mat_r.png plate_bump.png plate_mat.png ring_mat.png short_stand_mat.png skin_top_mat_a.png skin_top_mat_b.png skin_top_mat_c.png skin_top_mat_d.png stand_long_mat.png stand_short_mat.png tack_mat.png tack_mat_2.png ..\textures\ayukawataur\taiko\bachi\ kumi.png matsuri.png miyake.png nagadou_h.png nagadou_m.png odaiko.png shime_l.png shime_s.png ################# Installation Instructions Open the zip file in WinZip Click EXTRACT Verify that ALL FILES is checked Verify that USE FOLDER NAMES is checked Extract the folder to your Poser5/6/7/Pro/8 directory and Winzip should create the path to the files ################ Usage Rights The files enclosed are free to use for all commercial and non-commercial/personal renders.
