AANASCENT SCOTTSDALE COLLECTION FOR V4 All content (c) The Aanascent Group December 2009 www.aanascent.com *Statement of Ownership* All of the content in this package was created by Aanascent aka Michael and Anne Titsch. *Installation* This package is made up of two zip files, each requiring installation. Unzip into the Poser directory and allow your extraction program to maintain the folder paths ("Use Folder names"). Mac users may need to convert some files with Maconverter, available from http://www.soft-rabbit.com/. Requires the Victoria 4.2 base character from DAZ and either Poser or Daz Studio. This product has been tested in P6 and above, and DAZ Studio 3. *Figures* The cr2s for the clothing items, sunglasses and poseable Mirror are found in Runtime\Character\Aanascent\ScottsdaleCollection. There are three figures for the poseable sunglasses, one each for V4, Aiko 4 and The Girl 4. Aiko's shades work well with her different DAZ face types without the need for morphs. *Usage Tips* Use our clothing like you would any other conforming clothing for Victoria. Select Victoria, load the clothing figure, and conform it ("fit to" in Daz Studio) to Victoria. Poser users, apply the appropriate magnet pose to the clothing figure so that it follows Victoria's magnet deformers. Remember, Victoria should be selected before each separate piece of clothing is applied, not just before the first clothing item is applied, and Victoria's magnets must be applied to each clothing item, one at a time. A complete list of the morphs in each item has been included as SDC_MorphList.htm. In addition to the DAZ Morph++, Elite, Aiko 4 and Girl 4 morphs, which are auto-conforming, we have included style morphs so your clothing models needn't always look like the same old rags. You can sharpen the crease on the trousers, open and close the jacket, lengthen/hike up the skirt, sharpen the spike heels on your boots and more. Unmorphed, posing Victoria within her default limits (and in some cases, well beyond) should work without poke-through. However, certain body morphs and pose combinations may cause poke-through as a result of Victoria's (and the clothes') joints being optimized for unmorphed Victoria. For this reason, there are additional adjustment morphs which can be manually set, depending on need. If a clothing item stops automatically copying Victoria's morphs, delete and reload the clothing item. The included standing mirror will only produce a reflection when rendered with ray-tracing on. This means it cannot produce a reflection in Poser 4. All models are UV mapped. *Mat Poses* Both Poser 4 and Poser 5 materials settings have been supplied in .pz2 format. They are located in Pose\Aanascent\ScottsdaleCollection MATs and Pose\Aanascent\ScottsdaleCollection P5 MATs, respectively. Poser Materials settings are located in: Materials\Aanascent\ScottsdaleCollection. Daz Studio mats are located in: Pose\Aanascent\ScottsdaleCollection MATs. *Texture Rendering Tips* We recommend enabling quality texture filtering in Poser for best rendering results. It is not necessary for it to be enabled for the entire scene, just the clothing textures. Disabling texture filtering will result in moire patterns forming in some areas on the cloth, which look very unrealistic. Keep your minimum shading rate as low as you can to show maximum detail in textures, in both Poser and DAZ Studio. We like to turn ours completely off or give it a value of 0.1 to 0.2, in Poser, and .01 to .02 in DAZ Studio. Higher values mean less detail in your rendered images. This is a true case of more not necessarily being better, although turning the value up can help speed up test renders.
