Interiors Volume 2 by HandspanStudios 1/3/2010 Thanks for purchasing Interiors Volume 2. These files can be stored anywhere you like, you should create a folder for them wherever you would like to store them, then unzip them to that location. The file path they will unzip to if you extract the files is \Runtime\Textures\HandspanStudios\Interiors2. Tiling textures should be usable in any program that's set up for them. Try creating Bryce, DS or Poser materials, PSP or PS and Deep Paint brushes etc. These files tile seamlessly. I use them as texture fill brushes in PSP because you can easily scale and rotate the textures and use them with any brush or fill style you like. There is a tutorial on my site about how to do that here: http://www.handspanstudios.com/clothtexturestut.html Those files named ornament_ were created using only fonts and Blade Pro, most others are photo based or a combination of photo and filter. You will find some of the Blade Pro presets I used free at my website as well. The stone tiles are intended for things like granite countertops though they may work for floors, statuary etc. Fabrics are mostly upholstery, plaster and stucco are for walls and the others have various uses. To use these as poser 5 and up materials, load the object and select the material zone you want to work with. Then go to "Diffuse_Color" and select "New Node". Then select "2d textures" and "Image_Map". The first thing to do is assign the map by clicking "Image Source" and browsing 'till you find the tile you want. The way you tell Poser how many times to repeat the tile and in what proportions are the controls U_Scale and V_Scale, if you want the texture not to look stretched make the U and V numbers the same. To make bumps just grey scale the image and save it as thenamebump.jpg and apply it the same way to the node "bump". Some pattern dyed cloth will not make good bumps with this method as the dark and light patterns will look raised or depressed. You can fix this by adding a darken and/or lighten layer and bringing the colored bits to 50% grey by painting them. This product is intended as a "merchant resource", it may be used to create uv map textures for sale, please don't redistribute these in their original tiling form.
