Its a good idea to read it because there are many important tips on how to get the best of dynamic clothes, how to shrink wrap them and much more. You will find this "Cloth Room Tutorial.pdf" in Runtime\Magix101-Read Me's ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ INSTALLING Simply install it into the version of Poser you have on your computer as you would install any Poser product. Or if you are new to Poser and there is no auto installer then simply extract the downloaded Enchanted Evening Set and take the downloaded "Runtime" folder and drop it on top of the "Runtime" folder in your installed Poser version on your Hard Drive, when Windows says "There is already a folder called etc..." and gives you a Yes or No option, say "Yes" and that will install everything pefectly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ APPLYING AND USING THE ENCHANTED EVENING DYNAMIC CLOTHES SET AND THE EV_SANDALS. First put Vicky 4, Girl 4 or Aiko 4 in your Poser scene and make sure you have that figure selected before you apply the dress. In Poser go to "Props\Magix-101\DynClothes" and simply double click the Dress you wish to apply to your main figure. To apply the shoes go to "Figures\Magix-101\DynSets-Shoes" and apply the Ev_Sandals and conform them to Vicky 4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- APPLYING THE MAT FILES When you have the dress on the Millenium figure (Vicky 4, Aiko 4 etc...) you will see there is no texture on it, Simply go to "Poses\Magix-101\DYN-Ench-MATS" and select a texture for your dress, make sure the dress is selected and apply it. Then select the shoes and apply a texture for those also. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORPHS There are only morphs on the shoes, there is no need for morphs on pure dynamic clothes, so to see those simply select the "Ev_Sandals" and then the "Body" part and you will see the morphs. There is only one "FIT" morph needed and that is for the Girl 4, if you need to fit the heels to her, dial that dial to the hard right and it will stop at 1.000 and fit the Girl 4, There is also the facility to have the Sandals as flat or with High Heels, in the morphs list in the "Body" section you will see Heels-1 to Heels-4, only use one of these dials at a time and you can dial in different types of High heels for different shoe styles. Dial in the other morphs if you need them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SETTING UP THE CLOTH ROOM. NOTE:- Dont forget there is a more detailed explanation with images in the "Cloth Room Tutorial.pdf" in Runtime\Magix101-Read Me's. Most people want to do a final pose with the dynamic clothes and not an animation...so we will cover this briefly. Make Sure Victoria 4 or the Millenium Figure is in Zero Pose on FRAME 1, to do this select Victoria 4 the go to the top "Figure" menu and select "Use Inverse Kinematics" and disable the ticked limbs, that is usually the Right and Left leg. Then select the top "Window" menu and then "Joint Editor" and hit the "Zero Figure" button on the "Joint Editor" panel, sometimes it's not necessary to do this, but its usually best to and this will set the figure to "Zero Pose". Next go to the timeline and double click the right hand frame count and enter 5, Poser will say "Are you sure you want to delete some of your frames" say "yes", now you have a 5 frame timeline only. Next go to the CLOTH ROOM, make sure you are on FRAME 1 in the timeline Now select the "Enchanted-Ev" dress in Posers main display window then open the "New Simulation" menu and type in a name and check the "Simulation Range" ends at 5 frames, you can enable "Cloth Self Collision" if you wish to, usually this is better for looser dresses and clothes. You can also enable "Cloth Draping" if you wish to, if you do you will need to set a number of drape frames, usually 10 is enough. However as this dress is already quite realisticly draped its not really necessary to enable the Cloth Draping, only if you wish to. Now Hit "Clothify" and select "Enchanted-Ev" from the "Object to Clothify" flip menu that will come up, then you can close that Menu. Next open the "Collide Against" menu and click the "Add Remove" menu tab and select "Victoria4" by crossing the top main Victoria4 square and then hitting OK, this makes sure the "Enchanted-Ev" dress will collide against Victoria4. Finally before you leave the "Cloth Collision Objects" menu change the "Collision Offset" amount to 0.600 to get a closer collision to Victoria4, you can also tick the "Ignore Hand Collisions" box if you think you need to, depending on your final pose. Now close the "Cloth Collision Objects" by hitting OK. For now you probably wont need to touch the "Dynamic Controls" dials, you can read about these in your manual and there is also some info in the tutorial. But if you feel you need to then heres a quick tip regarding this section. For longer heavier dress (like the Enchanted Evening set) it's a good idea to to decrease the "Cloth Density", usually it's set about 5.000, you can try 1.000 or thereabouts to minimize any sag in the dress when its done the final Cloth Calculation at the end frame. You can also decrease the "Fold Resistance" if you want more folds in the final result. You will need to experiment with these dials to get what you want because every situation is different. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SETTING UP YOUR FINAL POSE Now pull the timeline to Frame 5 (Dont forget that it should have been on FRAME 1 previously). When you have done this, select Victoria 4 and put her in the Pose you want her to be in and arrange all your lights and stuff for your final render as you would normally do. Once you have done this all you have to do is hit the "Calculate Simulation" button in the "Dynamics Control" selection. Once the cloth is calculated it will end up with simulated dress that will match your pose in Frame 5, if you are happy with it then all you have to do is render FRAME 5 as your final render. THATS IT. Dont forget to read the "Cloth Room Tutorial.pdf" to get detailed information with images on how to set up the Cloth Room. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you enjoy using the "Enchanted Evening Dynamic Clothes Set" and have fun rendering with this new dynamic clothes set.
