NEEDED FILES:

V4++morphs, Elite, A4, G4 (all available at Daz 3D).  Please note YOU MUST HAVE THE ++MORPHS INJECTED for Seren to work, since she was created using those dials.


Clothing, props and hair shown in promo images are NOT included.



INSTRUCTIONS FOR UNZIPPING:

Simply unzip into your Poser directory, using winzip or some other zip extractor.  Ensure you enable 'use folder names' and the files should unzip into the correct folders.



USING THE INJ/REM POSES:

You will find these in the Libraries/Pose Folder, in the sub-folder 'Seren', under 'Morphs'.  Please go to the Libraries/Pose Folder, where you have V4 installed, and locate the Morph Injections sub-folder.  Under Basic Morph Injections you will find the Morphs++ injection pose.  Load Elite/A4/G4 and inject the ++morphs BEFORE USING Seren's injection poses.

There are sets of INJ/REM poses for Elite, A4 and G4, both full and Head only.  I have included two ElfEars INJ/REM poses - please use the appropriate REM poses.   There are also INJ/REM poses to hide and unhide the nipples and for three nail lengths.  Since Seren is based on ++morph dials, you may also easily change settings for ears, nails, breasts, etc, via the head and body morph dials.  
 


USING THE Poser MATS:

For your convenience I have included both mat/pose and material files.

Mat/pose files (.pz2’s) are to be found in your Libraries/Pose Folder (in the side menu), in the sub-folder Seren.  There you will find 4 folders - Eyes, Nails, Skin (AO and NonAO mats), plus the Morphs folder.

Material collection files (.mc6’s) and single materials (.mt5's) are to be found in your Libraries/Materials Folder (in the side menu), in the sub-folder Cym56_Seren, and should be applied in the Material Room.

IMPORTANT!!
THOUGH THIS IS NOT AT ALL A PROBLEM WITH MY TEXTURES (AND CAN BE OBSERVED WITH OTHER CHARACTERS), I have found some strange anomalies when using AO on V4 Elite in Poser 8+.  With certain graphics cards, in some lighting, especially when 'smooth polys' is checked, artifacts may be produced in the lower spine/buttocks area, which seem to be shadows created by the mesh geometry itself.  This seems to be another strange P8 quirk. Since I've been unable to totally eradicate these artifacts, no matter how much I turn down the AO settings on the torso/hip mats, I've included two poses which will turn AO off in those respective areas.  Should you wish to do a render including an exposed view of the lower spine/buttocks area, and you find these artifacts cropping up, please apply the appropriate pose to turn AO off.  Of course, you may alternatively apply the NonAo base mat, which will turn AO off for the whole figure.

AGAIN, I MUST STRESS THAT ANY ARTIFACTS SEEN ARE NOT ON THE ACTUAL TEXTURE, BUT SIMPLY A PRODUCT OF THE WAY POSER IS APPLYING THE SHADERS/AO AND LIGHT/SHADOWS.  THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE TEXTURES THEMSELVES. :)



PLEASE NOTE:

These textures use advanced shader nodes, including bump maps, AO and specularity settings, for increased realism – your lighting, render and shadow settings WILL affect render results. 

For best results the following render settings, where applicable, should be applied:

Raytracing and Use Displacement Maps: ON
Irradiance: 65 or over, for best results
Max texture size: a larger size will give better results (or Min shading rate 0 if using more recent versions)
Pixel Samples: 5 or more
Smooth Polys ON (but see the note above)

For Daz Studio users - I have included some basic DS mats for skin/nails (since Seren uses advanced shader nodes in Poser), but some tweaking may still be necessary, due to the different ways Poser and DStudio interpret settings.  The DS skin mats are in the NonAo folder.  You will no longer need to go to a separate DAZ Studio folder to apply the DAZ Studio Material Presets - just click on the desired thumbnail in the Poser mat folder and DS will apply the correct DS mats.  
Use of more than one light will usually give better results, e.g. the typical three-light Poser setup of two side lights and one front light.
