1) ArnieBot c 2010 VanishingPoint and MrSparky ---------------------------------- 2) Author Name: ---------------------------------- VanishingPoint and MrSparky --------------------------- 3) Product Description --------------------------- Arnie is a model PZV175 turbomech designed by the Molek corporation. Originally intended to be a self-aware multifunctional multipurpose machine to be used in various roles, from combat policing and rescue services, the project encountered problems when the prototype got a bit frisky with a toaster. The resulting electrical surge caused severe CPU damage and a later incident with a vacuum cleaner caused in the mouth being permanently set in the open happy position. Regardless of these issues, president Schwarzenegger ordered the PZV175 into production. Despite the final version having the intellect of someone living in Bognor, the turbomechs fierce loyalty and incredible strength proved very popular with the troops. Especially the Marines, who gave it the nickname of "Arnie". The model available here shows a typical Arnie and features all of the details found on the real turbomech. Including the plastisteel body, superkev helmet, sustech arm suspension units, grippa-hands, backpack RC-unit and even the oil bottle on the belt. Plus the model comes with a valid road tax disc. The model also has a full range of arm, leg and head movements providing the artist with maximum flexibility. This product also includes a variety of texture options: Afghan Arnie (desert camo) Judge BrainDed (police) Fireman Fred (fire rescue) Rusty Rob (he's well rusty) Army Arnie (default). All of the textures come in 2 flavours: No bump map, and with P5 (and higher) bump maps and there's a super-shiny version for the Judge BrainDed and Fireman Fred texture sets. A neat texture feature is Arnie's eyewear. This has been designed and carefully mapped so by editing one map you can easily change the eyes and therefore the emotions of the character. ------------------------------ 4) System Requirements: ------------------------------ PC, MAC, Poser 4 or Higher. Created in Carrara 5 Pro Tested in Poser 4 Pro Pack, Poser 6 Vue 4, Vue 5 and Vue 5-Infinite. Note: Daz studio users should use the Poser 4 MAT files as a basis for their textures and replace some materials with studio specific shaders. The highlight settings in studio may also need to be adjusted to give the best results. This is not a product flaw, but because studio may not display the Poser reflection maps correctly and displays poser materials differently from native studio files. ----------------------------- 5) Ownership statement ----------------------------- All of this product's content was created by VanishingPoint and MrSparky ------------------- 6) Needed Files: ------------------- None. -------------------------------- 7) Installation instructions -------------------------------- Unzip this zip file into your Poser directory using paths. There's two ways to do this... either save your scene in Poser and then just import the Poser scene into Vue. Or export the model from Poser as an OBJ to any folder of your choice. Place all the textures in that folder. Import that .OBJ into Vue. Rescale the imported model to suit your scene. Other apps using OBJ import: Without using paths, Extract the .OBJ plus ALL the textures to any one folder of your choice. Import the desired .OBJ into you application and add the textures. Rescale the imported model to suit your scene. Loading the model into Carrara: Again this is down to your version of Carrara and Poser and personal preference. Example uses Carrara 5 Pro. In Carrara - > Click File->Import, navigate to the ..\Runtime\Libraries\character\Sparkyworld and load the arnie file. The model should load with textures, if not mannually apply them or use the Carrara shaders to recolour the model. ------------- 9) Files list -------------- Readme.txt - this file.
