Place the CDI Boris FP2 folder (from the face folder) with its contents, in your Poser\Runtime\libraries\face folder. BorisFP2Readme.txt and License.txt will be in your Poser\Runtime\libraries\face\CDI Boris FP2 folder. -------------------------------------------------- Distributing Faces using Boris Morphs If you wish to distribute facial poses you create, this is quite alright. Please do not redistribute Capsces' morphs nor the facial poses which are sold with any Capsces' products. -------------------------------------------------- Using the Faces Simply apply the face you wish by double clicking it. You can apply these faces without losing your pose. -------------------------------------------------- Changing Intensity of Facial Poses You can attain varying degrees of intensity from Boris' facial poses in a couple of different ways. Use the following steps: 1. Apply a facial pose from the CDI Boris FP2 sub-category of the Faces library to the Boris figure. 2. Make sure the head is selected and choose OBJECT, SPAWN MORPH TARGET from the menu bar. 3. Name your morph target in the resulting dialog and click OK. 4. Set the head morphs to zero by applying the pose Zero Head Morphs in the CDI Boris FP2 sub-category of the Faces library. 5. Adjust the new dial to taste. Another method bloodsong told me about uses animation. I personally think this is a much better method than that above. Start your animation with your face at default and end the animation with a facial pose applied. If you have never done this, following are the steps to use: 1. After adding Boris to your scene, open the animation tray at the bottom of the Poser window. 2. Using the default 30 frames, move the slider all the way to the right to Frame 30. 3. Apply a facial pose from the CDI Boris FP2 sub-category of the Faces library. 4. Adjust the slider to taste. Note that Poser must be set to Full Tracking to see changes from moving the slider. Choose DISPLAY, TRACKING, FULL TRACKING from the menu bar. -------------------------------------------------- Moving a Boris Face to Mike 2 1. Add Boris to a new Poser scene and apply the Boris face desired. 2. Choose FILE, EXPORT, WAVEFRONT OBJ from the menu bar at the top. 3. Click OK in resulting "Export Range" dialog. 4. In "Hierarchy Selection" click Universe to deselect all, then check Head. Click OK. 5. Name the file and choose where to save it. This can be anywhere you choose, but remember the location as you will be using it momentarily. Click Save. 6. In resulting dialog, check "As Morph Target" and deselect everything else. Click OK. 7. Then you can create a new Poser file and add Mike 2 to your scene. 8. Select Mike's head and choose OBJECT, LOAD MORPH TARGET from the menu bar. 9. In resulting dialog, change shape1 to something like BorisHead. This will be the name on your new morph dial. 10. Click the Locate button, then find and select the obj file you just saved. Click Open. 11. Click OK. 12. Now you have a new dial on the head called BorisHead. Set to desired value. Note that you may want to set HdMichael2 to 0, as I believe it loads set to 1. You will also need to adjust eyeball position and scaling of head and eyeballs where needed, as this information is not retained. After you have loaded the morph and saved your figure, you can delete the OBJ you saved in step 5. -------------------------------------------------- Other Notes The eyes will not shut properly with some faces. This is due to some of Boris' eye morphs. If you need to close the eyes, zero the dials for problem morphs. These are usually EyeUH, EyeLH, EyeUShape, EyeUShape1, EyeLShape and EyeUSag Most facial poses will require adjustment to Scale and Translation of hair and other head props. Facial poses were created using a focal length of 50mm. DAZ's Frown morph does not work well with some faces. Using Frown Right and Left in combination works better. Boris' facial poses may reset the morphs in some expression packs. In this case it is best to apply the expression after applying a Boris face pose. Some expression packs may adjust morphs used in Boris facial poses. In this case, you will need to manually adjust the parameter dials for the affected morph(s). -------------------------------------------------- Beta Testers Many thanks to the beta testers for their help testing this product. azl (http://www.renderosity.com/~azl) Daio (http://www.pierianpiaffe.com) Daramski (http://darren.bryce-alive.net) pokeydots Xurge (http://www.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?Who=Xurge) -------------------------------------------------- For technical support regarding the use of Capsces Digital Ink's product(s), please direct e-mail to capsces@capsces.com. -------------------------------------------------- We hope you enjoy this Capsces' product.
