MATERIAL ROOM: The floor prop will load with some basic yellow stripes on the floor but if you do not want them you can alter the floor texture from "WRHSFLOORY.jpg" to WRHSFLOOR.jpg" which is a floor texture with no lines. It is located in "Runtime:textures:NED EXP" folder. There is also a texture with some basic red stripes "WRHSFLOORR.jpg" (for your electrical equipment or fire extinguisher) and you can select that one as well. It is located in "Runtime:textures:NED EXP" folder. You can change the textures for your cardboard boxes the same way. The same principle works for the forklift chasis. Two are provided. One with logo and one without. The forklift, by default loads without the "STORM POWER LIFTER" logo on the sides but you can load the "FLGROUP2S.jpg" texture with the logo, from the "Runtime:textures:NED EXP:FRKLIFTEX" folder. You can also manually change the shiny effect or bump strength in the Material Room for any prop. You will also notice that the fire extinguisher is a transparent plate. For realism, rotate the plate so it faces the rendering camera directly and render your scene with FireFly. The shadow on the wall behind the extinguisher will render correctly through the transparent plate and the fire extinguisher will look like a real object. POSING THE PROPS: The props with rotating parts (forklift, pallet jack, green dolly) have the rotating props parented to the main prop. Please engage object limits for realism. The effective range of motion for the parented props is already set. If you are familiar with the forklift operation the follwing instructions will be understandable to you. When forklift operator wants to raise the forklift "mast" sections, the basket travels upward first and then the subsequent sections of the mast. This means that the front part with the forks will lift the load first, to the full extent. Then the other sections are activated one by one while the basket remains lifted. It means that you can not rase the last section of the mast without raising all the sections in front of it first. To remind you of this feature the note "LIFT BASKET!!!" is displayed next to MAST1 and MAST2 morph dials. Also, the front wheels of the forklift do not turn. Only the rear ones (some have one and some have two rear wheels). In case of this particular forklift prop, you should leave all three of the "MAST" morphs ON, when displaying a full mast extension. To move the forklift prop around your workspace, select the main body of the forklift (FL BODY prop) and all other parented props will move with it. The X, Y and Z Tran dials are blocked for the parented props to prevent disalignment. Te main body prop for the GREEN DOLLY IS "GREEN DOLLY". The main body prop for the pallet jack is the "PALLETJACK" prop. The "JACK CONTROLS" prop is parented to it. It has several morphs. Please use the: BACK85, BACK45,BACK20,or FOEWARD33 morphs separately to avoid distortions. These are tilt angles (in degrees) for the main vertical shaft of the pallet jack. All props are scaled for poser figures so you can pose Don or Michael (or any other human figure) with these props. You can create an endless warehouse with as many storage rachs (shelves) as you want. First load the main storage "RACK A" or "SHELVING 1" prop. The morphs on this prop will help you decide on height positions for your shelves. When you are satisfied with the shelving arrangement, load the RACK B or the "SHELVING 2" prop. It will appear as an extension of the first rack. If you are planning on reposition these (or subsequent racks) you can parent all rack to the main "RACK A" and move that one. All other parented racks will follow. Once you decide where you want these rack to sit, you can start loading the contents of the shelves. All of these pallets and items will appear nicely arranged on the floor in front of the default position for the RACK A. The SAFET SIGNS will appear in froups of 12, behind these racks, as if they were mounted on the front wall of the "SECTION 1" brop which is the simmulated entry to the boiler room. You can reposition them or delete the unwanted ones. If you load the "CEILING SECT" (ceiling or roof section) to your scene, please keep in mind that any scene lights above will not penetrate this prop and that it will cast shadows below. To avoid this, you can uncheck the "Cast shadows" box in this Object Properties tab. The same can be applied to any wall prop (or any other prop). Eleven stacks of boxes are already prepared for you but you can rescale any of the six individual cardboard boxes and create your own custom stacks. RENDERING: For Poser 5 users, the best renders can be achieved with the use of FireFly renderer, set as follws: -Render Quality: production -Use displacement maps at 0.000 bounds. -Raytracing on: check -Cast shadows: check -Smooth polygons: uncheck -Remove backfacing polygons: uncheck -Use texture filtering: It's up to your PC's capabilities. Try both. -Minimum shading rate: the less the better. 0.300 is high detail. 0.100 is even better but will slow down the render process. -Maximum texture resolution: no reason to go over 2000 -Pixel samples: 5 is good, 10 is very slow but great for big renders. -Bucket size: 20-30 is ok. -Raytrace bounces:2-4 -Post filter size:0 for very sharp renders at Post filter type:BOX -Post filter type:BOX but fore more realistic, blurry renders which mimic 35mm film use the Post filter size at 2 or 3 and Post filter type:GAUSSIAN. Try both. Render it to main document window and keep it around 720 x 480 or so. For Poser 7 users, the best renders can be achieved with the use of FireFly renderer, set as follws: (use the provided light presets or some other light sets that have IBL and ambient occlusion) Manual Settings -Cast shadows: check -Raytracing: check -Raytrace bounces: 2-4 -Irradiance caching: 50 is decent -Pixes samples: 5 is good, 10 shows smoother outlines but renders slower. -Min shading rate: type in 0.10 for slow but highly detailed texture renders.Otherwise 0.50 is still fine and 1.00 is fast but for smaller renders. -Max bucket size: 20-30. -Min displacement bounds: 0.000 -Render Over: Current BG shader. Do not check any other boxes except for the Use displacement maps. You will need that. Post filter size and type: same rules as for the Poser 5. It's up to you. Save this preset for later! Happy rendering from ThundeRRenderS!!!
