Nigelpickering@btopenworld.com nigelpickering@mistral.co.uk 3) Files list (what is included in ZIP) Ladybird.obj (geometry file) Ladybird.cr2 (poser cr2 file) Ladybird.png (thumbnail image file) ladybird7spot.jpg (UV mapped texture map) ladybird.bmp (Texture Template map) 4) Needed Files List (Files/Programs needed that are not in the zip) You'll need Poser4 of course! If you want to create your own textures you'll need an image processing software that will read .bmp files.Winzip is required to unzip this but this. 5) Detailed Installation Instructions Just unzip your files with the 'use folders names' option checked, in to your Poser root directory. This should place everything in the correct place within Poser. For standard Poser users you will have to allow Poser to convert the bump map to .bum format. The only unconventional thing I've done is to have the .obj file within the library file. (BM) in the title indicates a bump map file (TM) in the file title indicates a transparency map (RM) in the file title indicates a reflection map. These are NOT for use within Poser but can be used in your favoured rendering program to produce a glossy finish to the parts of the model where appropriate. 6) Exact folder names & locations Ladybird.obj Runtime\Libraries\character\Noggins\ Ladybird.cr2 Runtime\Libraries\character\Noggins\ Ladybird.png Runtime\Libraries\character\Noggins\ ladybird7spot.jpg Runtime\Runtime\Textures\Noggin\ ladybird.bmp Runtime\Templates\Noggin\ Further free mapped textures to produce other species of ladybird are currently available at Turbosquid (I hope to get these up on Renderosity soon) 6) Usage Tips/Restrictions These files must NOT be redistributed in any form. They are royalty free for non-commercial and commercial purposes. If you produce any new textures using the templates I'd be pleased to see them and of course I would be happy for you to distribute your own textures based on this model. Some of the models have their joint parameters restricted so it would be worth enabling 'Use Limits' in the Figure menu in Poser. 7) Conversion and/or application instructions These models can be used within Poser or exported once posed to a rendering program. They were created in Rhino and made Poser ready in Poser Pro Pack by Curious Labs. Steve Cox's UV Mapper Pro was used to create the Texture template. The texture map was created in Photoshop. I am not in a position to test whether this works on the Mac.
