Poser 7 and above DAZ Studio 4(not sure for lower versions) Vue 6 Any Application that work with obj file format ************************************************************ * Product description: HMS Victory HMS Victory is probably the most famous tall ship in marine history. This model is meticulously made following the original drawing of the ship. There are also some other ships with different names that use this design(more or less) in late 17th and early 18th centuries. So it is quite representative of tall ship designs during the dramatic time of endless feud and vendetta on the sea centuries ago. The quality and detail of the model plus well schemed UV make ultra realistic renders or moody post quite easy. The ship provides you with a big stage in a story-riddled era for your characters to commit their heroic or despicable act:-) ================================================================ * Installation instructions ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Extraction of the file: Downloaded zip file can be decompressed with Winzip10 or above, jzip(nice freeware), 7z(freeware- the best, you should give it a look). But some version of Winrar is not capable to decompress these file. Mac users can use Stuffit Expander(freeware) to decompress it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Poser users: Unzip HMS_Victory_Part1.zip ; HMS_Victory_Part2.zip to your Poser's folder. Under Poser runtime folder, There are two files called HMS_Victory.pz3 and HMS_Victory_Full sail.pz3. They are the two versions of this complete ship. One with full sail and one without. The ground plane is where the water line is. So any figure you load into the scene will appear in the center of the ship body. You most likely will move the figure up onto the deck (y-up ---30.5feet or 9.3meters) Textures are all there but parameters can be tweaked for them to look even better ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1: Vue PC users 2:Vue Mac users 3: Vue for users of both platform 1:Vue PC users Vue files are in HMS_Victory_Part3.zip and HMS_Victory_Part4.zip. Extract these files to the same folder Map files are in HMS_Victory_Part1.zip---runtime/textures/tb/ folder .Extract these map files there too. Open HMS_Victory_vue_RigAndSail.vue and delete either "full sail" layer or "rig" layer(rig layer is set to hidden and "hide from render" by default) Then, merge in HMS_Victory_vue.vue. 2: Vue Mac users: Upon opening the vue file, there will be message poping up asking for map files, even if you put those maps side by side with the vue file. For some version of Mac/Vue combo, it will automatically find the rest of map files after you specify the first map location. But I have heard from my friend who helped me on testing this product that there are Mac/Vue combo that demand you find every single map files for Vue. That would mean about 30*3 clicks I guess. And on some weirdest case, the vue file demand one or two maps called "*.tga" instead of "AP_*.png" . Still following me£¿£º-£© Lucky for you, the name of those maps are very telling so by common sense, you won't have trouble redirecting those two tga calls to the corresponding png file. Whew! Sorry I can not provide you with a better version. Guess my Vue6 for Windows and the beast nature of this model make it problematic for Mac. 3: Vue for users of both platform Vue file is not locked. Textures are all there but parameters can be tweaked for them to look even better. 1 or 2 vue files have the "apply materials" ticked off in the render settings dialog for faster preview. Tick it on when you do the beauty render. ============================================================================================================= Obj users: Cannon_lowerdeck.obj and FigureHead.obj are in HMS_Victory_Part1.zip HMS_Victory_obj.obj and HV_FullSail_obj.obj are in HMS_Victory_Part5.zip Map files are in HMS_Victory_Part1.zip---runtime/textures/tb/ folder Put these file in the same folder. On first import(in your prefered application), it will take some time as it is rather a large obj file. After import and saving, reopen in native format would not be that long. The HMS_Victory_obj.obj is the non_full_sail configuration. For fullsail configuration, import HMS_Victory_obj.obj, then delete all objects start with "rig" and "mast". After all the rigging and mast are deleted, import HV_FullSail_obj.obj. * Usage tips Total triangle count for non-fullsail version is around 1446000, fullsail version is roughly the same. Cannons account for 339095 tris and figure head section 285546(tris). All faces are either quad or tri The ship model has two configurations. One with Full sail one without. So no matter if you are docking at the harbor or sailing at full speed, it all looks alright( the full sail version is not simply adding several canvas sheet. The rig changes too). For Poser, you will notice there are objects with "SMO" in its name. This "SMO" is just short for "smoothed". Any object with SMO in its name need to have very big smooth angle( 180 degree or more). Just tell you this in case you want to know what the heck this "SMO" stand for. *limitations: You are not allowed to share this file or any parts of it on a peer to peer network. Otherwise, adhere to Renderosity License please. ****************************************** * Files list: \HMS_Victory_Part1\runtime\textures\TB\ AP_BlackWoodClean.png AP_DeckPanel.png AP_Rope_darker_D.png AP_Ropes_D.png AP_Wooddarkbrown.png AP_Yel_Wood_bare.png AP_Yel_Wood_bare_B.png AP_Yel_Wood_bare_h_N.png AP_blackfabric.png AP_blackwood_D2.png AP_blackwood_D_N.png AP_canvas.png AP_darkredwood2.png AP_darkshinyredwood.png AP_deckboard_B.png AP_deco1_D.png AP_deco1_N.png AP_deco1_N_B.png AP_deco2_n.png AP_deco3_n.png AP_deco_B.png AP_desktop.png AP_dif.png AP_doorwood.png AP_doorwood_B.png AP_doorwood_N.png AP_flag1.png AP_flag2.png AP_flag3.png AP_flora_mask.png AP_floral.png AP_front_deco.png AP_gate_B.png AP_gate_N.png AP_gate_N_B.png AP_gate_d.png AP_gold_mask.png AP_goldball.png AP_goldball_N.png AP_goldball_N_B.png AP_keg.png AP_l_normals_B.png AP_mesh.png AP_mesh_Opacity.png AP_palewood.png AP_red_wood_clean.png AP_ropes_n_1.png AP_shield.png AP_stern_B.png AP_stern_N.png AP_strip.png AP_woodpanel_N.png AP_yellowpanel.png GlassEnvironmentMap.png \HMS_Victory_Part1\AcePolyFile\ Cannon_lowerdeck.mtl Cannon_lowerdeck.obj FigureHead.mtl FigureHead.obj \HMS_Victory_Part1\documentation\ HMS_Victory_readme.txt Renderosity License.txt ************************************* \HMS_Victory_Part2\runtime\ HMS_Victory_Poser.pz3 HMS_Victory_fullsail.pz3 \HMS_Victory_Part2\runtime\Libraries\Props\Ace_poly\HMS_Victory\ Cannon.png Cannon.pp2 Cannon_SMO.png Cannon_SMO.pp2 FigureHead.png FigureHead.pp2 FullSail.png FullSail.pp2 FullSail_SMO.png FullSail_SMO.pp2 Inside.png Inside.pp2 L_boat.png L_boat.pp2 Rig.png Rig.pp2 Rig_SMO.png Rig_SMO.pp2 V_Ship_SMO.png V_Ship_SMO.pp2 Victory_Ship.png Victory_Ship.pp2 name1.png name1.pp2 name2.png name2.pp2 \HMS_Victory_Part2\runtime\Libraries\Camera\TB\ C1.cm2 C1.png C1_Squre.cm2 C1_Squre.png C2.cm2 C2.png C3.cm2 C3.png C4.cm2 C4.png C5.cm2 C5.png C6.cm2 C6.png C7.cm2 C7.png \HMS_Victory_Part2\runtime\Geometries\Ace_Poly\HMS_Victory\ Cannon.obj Cannon_SMO.obj FigureHead.obj FullSail.obj FullSail_SMO.obj Inside.obj Rig.obj Rig_SMO.obj V-LBoat.obj V_Ship_SMO.obj Victory_Ship.obj name1.obj name2.obj \HMS_Victory_Part2\documentation\ HMS_Victory_readme.txt Renderosity License.txt *********************************** \HMS_Victory_Part3\ HMS_Victory_Cannon.vue HMS_Victory_vue_RigAndSail.vue \HMS_Victory_Part3\documentation\ HMS_Victory_readme.txt Renderosity License.txt *********************************** \HMS_Victory_Part4\ HMS_Victory_vue.vue \HMS_Victory_Part4\documentation\ HMS_Victory_readme.txt Renderosity License.txt *********************************** \HMS_Victory_Part5\ HMS_Victory_obj.mtl HMS_Victory_obj.obj HV_FullSail_obj.mtl HV_FullSail_obj.obj \HMS_Victory_Part5\documentation\ HMS_Victory_readme.txt Renderosity License.txt *********************************** \HMS_Victory_Templates\ AP_floral_t.png AP_front_deco_t.png AP_gate_t.png AP_gold_mask.png AP_keg_t.png AP_shield_t.png
